I am doing my due diligence for a good soundbar was I was astonished to find the Yahama had too much base and did not sound very good for pop music, better with classical. This has put me in 2 minds regards the Yahama. I might need to go to a shop and hear one in real life.

Subs IMO aren't good enough in all of these soundbars. The bassreflex port is tuned way too high and there is no room correction software.

@@IvanNikitin1 Interesting. I find your test video to be the best one yet on KZbin. It is really tough to grasp how well these soundbars sound on KZbin. I find they rely a lot on bass to get the oomph appeal but as you say the balance is not there. I have a 20 year old 5.1 (now a 2.1, the middle speaker is not functioning and I now have no room for rear projections) Panasonic system and at times that sounds sharper and better balanced than soundbars today. I might get the Yamaha 209 but I need to make sure I get it from Amazon or a store with a good returns policy as buying "blind" with these devices is a toss of a coin if it is any good to my ears.

These kind of vids are hard to tell the difference over a phone but I’d hope the Samsung a 3.1 system with 340 watts would be better than a 2.1 with 220 watts...

@@xaladoc к сожалению ещё нет,но больше склоняюсь к Samsung Q6R но смотрю что их осталось мало так как модель 2019 на смену пришла Q6T но по характеристикам уступает прошлогодней модели а отсутствие данного сегмента в розничных магазинах усложняет процесс выбора к сожалению

@@IvanNikitin1 I am deciding between these two, yamaha costs 20€ more and it is 2.1 and 200w only, samsung is 3.1 and has 340w, but on the other hand yamaha has dts virtual x, is it good function, much better surround sound? and do you feel this difference between this two in power? bcs 200W vs 340W seems big difference, thanks for answer.

A 3.1 will ALWAYS have a better vocal delivery/reproduction vs a 2.1 for the simple fact that it has a center speaker primarily for vocals as in song but as importantly, when watching movies/media; hands down, no comparison the Samsung here will win easily, and btw I own it and listened to the Yamaha and other 2.1 systems before purchasing; not even close. When listening to this soundtrack/video, even while wearing a headset, it's not nearly as obvious as in real life when sitting in front of the actual speaker. It's a no-brainer and comparing a 2.1 with a 3.1, no matter the brand pretty much, is a waste of time as is this video/soundtrack; it has nothing to do with reality.
