Great Review. I've been searching and I finally had a chance to ride this bike... You can feel Yamaha's heritage in the bike's low-end torque, quality of feel, and the seamless shifting. The 3-year full warranty is simply unheard of! Needless to say, I purchased one.

Thanks for the nice comment. I agree, they make great products. I have a 2016 Haibike with Yamaha"s motor,, I put over 2k hard miles on it and the Yamaha battery with zero problems.

Great video Steve! I really hope The Cross Connect is in my very immediate future! Wish there was a dealer in Virginia. Hard to lay out 3 grand without being able to test bike for fit and ride. Thanks for all your help buddy............

Stupid comment re ‘I’m glad the sensor is in the hub so people can’t tamper with it’. People who pay 3-10 k should very much be allowed to de-restrict their motors if they operate them with due regard for others and the environment. Also, charging customers for what they can’t fully use anyway just sees like profiteering,.....I’m looking at you EMTB MAKERS

There is no suspension because it is a universal mountain bike as in what BMX bike has suspension. Basically Yamaha is Pulling the experience card infused with logical thinking so great job Yamaha.

Suspension would be better on the road bikes only tho
