You have to change your Input to the valid connected port number. If you are connected to the HDMI 1 at the Yamaha change the Input to HDMI1 or connected to other ports like RCA, then select desired Input from Yamaha, you will get the sound from that source.

Hello sir, i have the same model(brand new) but when i connect from hdmi ARC output to eARC hdmi on tv, after the "home theater connected" message on the tv, the screen goes black(blank) with no setup options. Connect ARC from Yamaha to your another HDMI port. Do not connect to EARC that might be the problem to understand both the system whom to take over.

On audio 1 have no icons in the display. In the store they have all on it. HDMI 1 shows them but it seems that the sound is not good the back speakers are making a low noise sound. So I thought I should buy 3mm cables. The cables in the package I use looks like sheep and bad. Do you understand my problem. Should I use the optical cable also? Or only hdmiarc?

which application on you Android TV play 5.1 sound ? Am not getting 5.1 on YHT through eARC / digital out... getting stereo only. Played 5.1 movies from Prime videos app but no help...

Amplifier it self converts 2.1 into 5.1 channel. If you have HDMi play over then it should be more clear and crystal. Just make sure all 5 speakers are on and set to the correct mode where voice (vocal) can come from centre speaker and then the rest from the other speakers.

These are same settings you can use for optical lead to. Make sure speakers are mounted to cover entire room. You can also find Yamaha application for android or apple devices to check how to connect the devices.

It is auto setup by the room dimensions. Basically if it is set for 10 to 15 meter range. Then if you set the distance then you will get a bit louder sound from the set speakers.

Superb. Yes sound quality is really good but there are only two best features in 3072 which are YAPO and Bluetooth. If you want to save the cost then go with 1840 else both have same amplifier circuit inside.

Your suggested setting may not work for every listener, because of different room sizes. Your distance settings are confusing also. You have set front speakers to 2' and surround set to 16',sub to 10'.Are you seat just in front of your system with sub behind ?

That is nominal preset for measurement. Yamaha made these options available to use. Even you can try changing it to find any difference in between. Sometimes engineers only do what they have been taught to do. So we need to apply some settings by our own to feel the sound as per our home arrangement and space.

I strongly feel there are Carbon particles in the connection cables. You can try to use WD40 to clean the terminals or replace the speaker connection cables. Also replace 3.5 mm stereo connection cable or check the HDMI cable (or use branded or good quality)

You can connect Bluetooth device to the the aux port. Buy any good one Bluetooth receiver as I have video for one of Bluetooth device (launching soon) which can help. Then you can play songs from the phone directly.

Both are the different brands and different outputs. Sony is the best no doubt for high bass but Yamaha has crystal clear vocal sound and balanced musical sounds. Depending upon you which thing is prior to you. Yamaha has 100 rms output for all the speakers and 200 watts for sub woofer.

Instead of doing this if your reciver has a mic port if U plug the Yamaha microphone into the reciver it calibrates the speakers to your room for U.

Looks there is some issue with your amplifier circuit. If there is noise, then also check the cable connection sometime if cable is loose or broken and if any power cable is lying near to the system wires

Ur distance setting is totally wrong sir It seems u r just experimenting with it I m using denon 5.2.2 avr with taga harmony 607 with 2 top( ceiling speakers) at current no woofer because its bass is already enough i also tried some experiments like you but belive me netral ( default) settings provide amazing sound Just try to put all front and rear channel at sane height I put them on 8 feet with little angled towards room centre and it provide amazing output quality in both movies and music. Mostly i use music only thats why planing to add one more woofer

I m little bit not agreed with this set up. Speakers should set small only in tower speakers it can set large but small are preferable. Crossover also depend on speakers may 80 or 120 CO. And all r depend upon room size. So this Callibration may not fit for others. speakers set small are safe and suggested. Pl do not feel bad every one have different teste.

Thanks for the sharing. And I do agree with your concerns. It is completely depending upon the room size and it fits perfectly with my room arrangement. If the room is only for tv and speakers then it should be definitely different settings to apply. I am really glad you pointed out this one but you can have try as the speaker dimensions matters whether they are big or small like up to 4 inch are small and 6” and above are count as large speakers. Everything ok but why virtual front cinema switched on if you are keeping suuround speakers in front of u you can switched on but if it is back of you then should not switched on. If you want more bass and clear sound effects keep cross over at 80 to 100. Then u want more bass increase volume trim in that increase input and bass trim then you will feel like anything
