Yamal: I Fulfilled Mbappé's Request... and Carvajal Doesn't Ask Me What He Asks Rodri

Lamine Yamal, the Barcelona star, revealed a request from Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé after the Spain vs. France match in the Euro semi-finals.
In statements highlighted by the Spanish newspaper "Marca," Yamal was asked: "Carvajal keeps telling Rodri to sign for Real Madrid, did he say that to you as well?" He replied: "No... I'm always with Barcelona."
When asked, "Who asked for your jersey throughout the Euro?" Yamal replied, "Mbappé requested it. Well, one of the locker room officials asked for it on his behalf. Chiesa also asked for it on the day of the Italy match."
He added: "The locker room officials tell me who wants the jersey. If Mbappé had asked me directly, I would have given it to him (laughs), no problem. I don't know how many jerseys I have. When we won against France, I was thinking about the final, I was so excited that I didn't remember."
Yamal rejected comparisons to Messi, saying: "I try to be Lamine, I try to let people recognize me for who I am. In the end, comparing yourself to the best player in history is something that won't help you, because you will never reach his level. I try to be myself, and for people to recognize me as Lamine Yamal, and that's all."
He continued: "I have changed a lot, both as a person and in the way I play. My confidence has increased, physically... I am very happy with the change I have gone through."
When asked if he knew his shot against France was a goal before it went in, he answered: "Yes. There is a picture of me running when I took the shot. When you shoot in that way, you know it's a goal or very close to it."
