OK, but your predictions would've been perfect if G2 had been just handled NRG, no? No format is perfect, but Swiss has consistently shown to be enjoyable in multiple sports. If you're the best team or the second best team or the third best team you're guaranteed to get out. Even if you're the 4th best team, you have to be insanely unlucky to not go by (and in that case, you probably should've won your own region to get a better seed). Then due to the single elimination after the swiss, fifth place is the same as eighth place, which means if you are the fifth best team and you somehow don't make it out of swiss you're a single series loss shy of your actual placement based on skill or whatever intangible stat that you can never be measured is. And you get the bonus of pretending like if you hadn't gotten unlucky in the Swiss, you would've gotten farther in the tournament when in reality, you would've just gotten clapped in your very next game.

@@robertmusil1107 to be honest it’s very simple to explain. Lets say geng blg g2 and fly are all 2:0 up. Geng blg draw each other and 1 of them has to lose. Would your point now be that if g2 wins they are more deserving of beeing on the other side of whoever wins between blg and geng? But man the real issue is that we don’t have double elim xD double elim fixes every unlucky scenario to some extend.

I just feel as though we will see but the level of macro in the top two teams in na vs lng, weibo, and dk is far superior and from eye test which yes i will acknowledge they have played against far worse opponents i dont think the hands differnce will make up for the precisive decision making/map movement in those lower seeds. Super biased opinion but i think that this time around with oner not being close to as good as he was at ewc i dont believe jg gap between him and umti will. E that big and i have tl in the head to head. Lng and weibos more prevelant lows are the reason i give the edge to the na reps.
