Learn Yan Shou Gong online from Master Yap Boh Heong. Click on the links below to enroll: YSG Sets 1-6: bit.ly/3K9w9AC YSG Sets 7-12: bit.ly/3ctj5dg Yan Shou Gong 延壽功 is an Authentic Nei Gong practice traditionally taught to only the most senior monks in the Southern Shaolin Temple. Each of the Yan Shou Gong sets condenses the best practices of the Nei Gong arts, making them: • Easy to learn. • Quick to practice. • Produce real internal skills. Many types of Nei/Qi Gong practices typically take years before a student feels any benefits from the training; Or even worse, the methods don’t produce any results. However, this is not the case with Yan Shou Gong, as the student will notice the benefits instantly, and in most instances, it can begin to deliver results within weeks. Yan Shou Gong also emphasizes the development of kinetic energy and the mind; in Chinese martial arts, these terms are referred to as Jin 勁 and Yi 意. It also teaches the practitioner how to perform techniques such as Grounding, Rooting, and Centering, creating awareness and mindfulness of being in the body. This can improve a practitioner’s martial abilities, but it can also help relieve stress, anxiety, and depression. The comprehensive instruction provided in this course is ideal for martial artists who want to study an authentic Nei Gong system/internal art. It is also suitable for those who have previously been too busy, living a stressed-out lifestyle, and now need to work on improving their health. Inner-door Students Group: As well as the comprehensive video instruction provided within the course, Master Yap has created a private group to personally guide students studying the Yan Shou Gong (Shaolin Nei Gong) course with him. Access to the group is exclusive and only available to students who enroll in this course. Students can use the group to ask questions, discuss the video lessons and share their training experiences with the other pupils. Master Yap will be on hand to answer any questions and share new video lessons with the group. Click on the link to find out more: bit.ly/3K9w9AC

How do you convince the world that internal arts are not fake? All MMA guys will dismiss this as BS.

A good complement for Wing Chun, for example?

@@karlvogt1964 yes, Yan Shou Gong would complement an art such as Wing Chun perfectly. We have many WC practitioners currently taking the course.

@@LiShuBen Respectfully, there is nothing to prove - we live in a world where people are free to train whatever style they want without the need to step into a ring and fight MMA. For many, there is more to studying martial arts than competing. In my opinion, failing to realize that the traditional methods can actually complement other arts and increase the potential of our minds and bodies only limits any possibility for growth.

When I was 18 my teacher Kenneth Hendricks and a small group of us picked up Grand Master Chee Kim Tong from the airport in Mobil AL. I remember it being an honor and Me being nervous at the same time. When he watched me do my forms he could easily see Everything about me in many ways. If you broke your ankle as a child Or any of that he could tell even in your movement as an adult. I am very grateful for this Time. 🙏

Master Yap, "frequency beats intensity" - I'm stealing that phrase. :) I first heard it (although explained in different words) years ago with regard to stretching, and I have certainly used the concept with regards to Tai Chi practice. Thanks for that. By the way, although I only met your father once (when he accompanied Master Chee on a visit to Kim Han's 'school' in London) and my memory might be playing tricks... You look just like him.

So over the years, especially in videos like yours and sometimes in person I've came across these different styles called nei gong etc, I understand they were discovered by different people at different times and all that and I understand gong roughly means exercise or to build up, workout but from what I can see all of it, including tai chi comes from qi gong, ki/chi gong however you wish to spell it. It's just that there are something like 8different types of energy within your body, and practicing the different exercises in different ways builds and trains each energy differently (like the actual power of your mind and thought or intention, which is separate from chi ) also I believe the nei gong is mainly about using the power of the mind, sometimes using the power of the mind to move the chi around and through the body and cause movement etc at will. Just what I've seen over time atleast

These guys are all the same...always with the academic stuff about CHi and or showing things standing straight up in non-realistic static situations or through drills that dont have body mass involved. Perhaps show this on someone that boxes ? I would like to see it in real fighting and a realistic situation . So the question here is what is he trying to say? this is used for some reason in self defence ? if so lets see it for real..he seems like a nice man in spirit but this has nothing to do with martial arts he just seems like a nice man. Not picking on him per say but rather the hoky things he has been taught and now he is passing on giving people falsehoods on fighting skills. But not sure what this has to do with self defence...if so it would be nice to see these guys prove it in real action taking on a punch that has body mass that is going right through the defender..not just a light slow mime like arm movement stopping in front of the person at about 0.0 speed and power. The latter seems to be the platform on which most of the magical masters seem to teach their hoky theories. I wish this nonsense would stop in martial arts.

It would be interesting to survey Chinese martial artists and ask them whether the internal forms, as practiced by masters, are still considered the most effective for self defense. From what I've read, this has been the consensus for centuries and remains so today.
