A lot of people in the comments I can tell have no extensive martial arts training. They throw out insults and mock this “technique” painting it as if the guy is claiming it to be some end-all be-all technique to win a fight. It’s simply a concept in leveraging body mechanics. In a grappling scenario, attempting to move the position of your hand/wrist by moving your hand up or down is far weaker and can be overpowered. You can move the position of your hand/wrist by moving your elbow up or down (up and to the side or down and to the side). By focusing on moving your elbow instead of your hand, you have much more power and leverage, thus allowing you to overpower someone much stronger than you. This is useful in a grappling scenario. But don’t make it out to be more than it is. No one else is except those seeking to mock the guy demonstrating it. It is what it is - a concept that can make your more efficient in how you move your body in a grappling situation.

It's Aiki, it's real but you'll NEVER be able to pull it off in a real situation. If it wasn't connected to martial arts, people would call it street magic

With a slip left to avoid a right cross, then as you left hook you can make contact with your right arm at the same time and add the effect shown here to your counter. Or simply if you’re pressured in the situation shown and you recover your orientation to face the opponent.
