200kg world record snatch. At that point you finished the weightlifting game, done, GG. Time to do some fishing, create a nice garden or something else. Such an outrageous feat of the human body.

His right arm rotates so damn far man it looks like it's gonna dislocate his shoulder 😳 but he makes it work clearly

That means Andrei Aramnau is the last man in weightlifting history who snatched 200 kg or more as a non super heavyweight below 105 kg BW. He did it at Beijing 08 OG as a 20 years old teenage boy. Almost 16 years already. His record will be untouched for a very long time.

Wow Yang Zhe is still lifting? I remember seeing him in the 105s almost a decade ago. One of the few Chinese 105s that actually has decent numbers... actually no, he's probably the only 105 that puts up decent numbers. Wish his C&J numbers were competitive too. His snatch numbers are elite, but unfortunately, seems like he's just a snatch specialist

He’s retired. That ban basically ruined any hope of coming back and he’s now coaching/seminars at his hometown. There’s a recent interview by a “midsize” KZbinr with him

Can someone explain the small rotation of the bar and the upper body after locking? I have the same issue, not sure that’s a problem
@tetashome Жыл бұрын
I've seen a lot of these strong lifters have assymetrical lifts. I think it's just how their body is. A perfectly symmetrical body is not normal
@PhartingFeeting Жыл бұрын
It could be from a literal difference in length of your left and right legs. Thankfully obliques can prevent some rotation. But in max outs, who knows if they could save you then

and he struggles to lif 223 and clean and jerk and he lost snatch advantage, this is world record but it's not the biggest snatch for a non superweight lifter, according to iwf each time a plate breaks, NEW WORLD RECORD

Zakharevich snatched 210 kg at Seoul 88 OG in the - 110 kg class. Highest snatch ever by a non super heavyweight.

@@09thespecialone i knew that, but iwf changes category and clean old records, iwf doesn't respect the history

@@haroldpepete Yes. But resetting weight classes every 10-20 years won’t fool individuals like us who know the sport of weightlifting very well. In reality, the sport is in a stagnation phase for at least 30 years. Despite the superior dosage of PEDs current weightlifters are taking, they are lifting same or inferior numbers at higher bodyweights than their predecessors. Current weightlifters are weaker. This is the most symbolic stat in weightlifting history in my humble opinion: Zakharevich and Aramnau are the only lifters in history who snatched 200 kg or more as non super heavyweights in the Olympics. Zakharevich did it at Seoul 88 (210 kg in the -110 kg class) and Aramnau at Beijing 08 (200 kg in the -105 kg class). And it won’t be matched anytime soon.
