I love Custer State Park. Been there 3 times last time was this past May. We were the coming in from our travel to Mammoth Springs and came upon hundreds of buffalos and calves at about 5 pm eating time. One time when we were there we witnessed a stampede. South Dakota is a jewel to visit. Even the dirt sparkles.

My wife and I camped in Custer State Park. And we took the trail we thought would only take us an hour tops to finish. We were really out of shape back then and it to us close to 4 or 5. Lol.

I absolutely loved the museum at the Crazy Horse monument. Glad to revisit! We had close encounters with Bison and prairie dogs at Theodore Roosevelt NP in North Dakota on our trip

We fell in love with the Black Hills back in May. We camped in Custer State Park. We did not have enough time to make it over to Crazy Horse

Several years ago we did a road trip out west , crazy horse was so much more interesting than Mt Rushmore. We did the Black Hills and Devils Tower. We had been to Arches and I picked up a Pack Rat 🐀 puppet. The Prairie Dogs tried to attach it. We did yellow stone Dodge City and the Bad Lands . On another occasion we saw the Grand Canyon and went on a float trip down the Colorado River.

Will and Dawn back in 88 when I was there they were just getting started on the monument I'd love to go back and see it as well as MT Rushmore pictures don't do it justice as for seeing it with your own eyes it's BEAUTIFUL.
