2024 was a career year for Juan Soto hitting in front of Judge. Kyle Tucker missed half the season with a fractured shin due to a HBP. Despite this check out the WAR comparison:: Tucker - 4.1 WAR in 78 games Soto - 8.2 WAR in 157 games Tucker was on pace to equal Soto in WAR and do it with one less game played! Hes arguably a better all around player! LFG Cashman make it happen!

At 19 Soto was a superstar on a team with Turner, Rendon, Harper. Tucker was setting records at Florida. Doesn’t take anything away from Tucker but let’s stop underestimating Soto. Tucker has never posted a full season of 150 ops plus and never had a 400 obp in a full season while Soto has never had a obp under 400. Tucker also plays in Houston which is a higher run environment than any team Soto has played for.

At 19, Soto was not a superstar. A WAR of 3, BA .292, R 77, RBI 70, and HR 22 does not make him a superstar. He didn’t even win ROY. Currently, he is a hitting superstar, but an average or below average outfielder and base runner.

Because the Martian can play a full year and trade for Bellinger. This would be my perfect team to start the season, then make mid-season trade for deficiencies

1) They get Gerrit Cole for the first half of the season, thats better right off the bat. 2) How much "better" do they need to be? Theyre clearly the best team in the AL right now and made the World Series. They need to be better than the best NL teams sure, but you can do that before the trade dealine. 3) Soto is obviously the better player, but Tucker is obviously the more well-rounded player.

Tucker of Vlad aren’t coming anywhere near those amounts. You can think different if you want. But I’m being realistic. The 2 deals like that were Otani, a freak with his skill level and ability on both sides. And Soto who many feel is best hitter of this generation. That money comes to them. Extensions will not become extinct no of 2 generation players. Whether true generational or perceived. We’ll see. But extensions in my opinion , will still happen. And if they do disappear, then 1 year trades with large hauls will also become less and less

Every time a pitching organisation, and Atlanta is one, doesn't sign its own, one has to wonder why. To be fair, Fried looks like a very good signing but is there the defence to play behind his soft contact pitching? 3rd and 1st are suspect. Outfield has at least one position to fill, and who knows what Dominguez will be like at CF. Add to this the DH Giancarlo, who might have 400 ABs with a horrendous OBP. That's wanting to fill league average players at three or maybe four positions in the off season? Not a happy proposition.
