The yanks hitters gave him this by not working the pitch count instead they were swinging early at pitches allowing him to have the advantage because he wasn’t tired of the yanks hitters instead of swinging at the first few pitches that he threw and instead made him work for it he wouldn’t have had an easy time against them it wasn’t good pitching it was bad Yankee hitting

@@MrDankzz-y7tThat just gives credit more to Yamamoto for even making them swing on those balls. The Yankees' lineup is among the very best in the league, everyone knows this. Stop trying to discredit the effort and achievement he has done, he deserved every bit of it.

I would say that there are too many REaction shots at the expense of more action clips. Bat flipping, celebratory dances, shouting like a gorilla, and pitchers walking around are not highlights. These videos tell a good story, but they could be 2 or 3 minutes shorter without all the hot-dogging and fluff. :-)

Some Dodgers fans say it's fine because they won without Ohtani, so it's okay, but if he hadn't hit the double that tied the game in yesterday's first game, Dodgers might have lost. Also, he puts pressure on the opposing team just by being in the lineup, and he can move the bullpen of the opposing team. Ohtani's presence is enormous. I hope he's okay. And I hope Dodgers win the championship.

Tremendous one-hit pitching by Yoshi. The Dodgers got off to the best start than every this playoff series tho, seeing the Yankee counterattack in the 9th, they won't let em become champions that easily. Want em to pull emselves together and win at least one game on the road. Shohei must be struggling in the shadows as usual and must have wanted to do something. I don't think the two MVPs will end up quietly like this, and even if they do, their contributions this season absolutely Not disappear. The depth of the Dodgers' roster, including Freeman, Edman, Hernandez bro, Will, Muncy, and Mookie, is just a strength of the Dodgers.

Yamamoto did good as a rookie in a high pressure situation in the post season and the world series despite these so-called Dodger fans saying he is overpaid. "Rookie" i didnt know rookies get paid 325 million dollars 12 year contract + 51 million paid to his former team Orix Buffaloes before he threw a pitch in thw mlb. These veteran japanese players should not be treated as rookie. Nomo, Ichiro, Ohtani, all getting rookie of the year is ridiculous. Rookies are players who are coming up from minors, such as Skenes, Merrill, or Corbin Carroll of last season, who never played professionally for a season. Npb players should not be eligible to win rookie of the year.
@quobey
@quobey Ай бұрын
@@EdDy4RheelZ Americans are always referring to the NPB as equivalent to the minors, thus discrediting the NPB players of their achievements and records. I guess it's only fair that they receive the benefit of being called a rookie their first time round in the Majors, at least. You can't have it both ways, you know. That said, I totally agree that NPB players should not be treated as rookies, just that you'd have to acknowledge their achievements and records as such as well.

No, those are not the same people. Saying Yamamoto is overpaid is purely an insult to Yamamoto. Saying the dodgers have a good chance to win even without Ohtani is not at all an insult to Ohtani, it’s simply a compliment to how deep the dodgers roster is. Obviously we want Ohtani to be healthy, he helps their odds significantly, but he’s not the only guy who can deal damage.

@@gregrowe1168 that's because stl has a great farm system. We produce high quality players. But ever since Tony La Russa left we haven't been able to utilize this talent effectively. In fact we have just been spiralling downwards. Tony was not a yes man, he did what he wanted yet produced wins. Mozeliak did not like having someone that he could not control, but couldn't let him go because Tonys record spoke for itself and made Mozeliak look good. Mozeliak has hired "yes men" ever since. And it shows. The whole organization needs a front end make over badly. Starting at the top. I'm a life long cards fan, and don't want to see my team go through the drought that the cubs went through. What we witnessed in 23' when Marmol criticized his own player on national television is evidence enough. But to add more proof is that in 24' Mozeliak kept Marmol as his manager.

Depends on how bad the injury is. Bellinger (I probably spelt his name wrong) dislocated his shoulder in 2020, quickly popped it back in place with the help of the trainer in the dugout, and then still kept playing. But based on WAR if Ohtani isn't on the team the dodgers would be barely hanging on to a wildcard spot as Ohtani was worth like 9 WAR and the dodgers were 9 games ahead of the dbacks who just missed the postseason by half a game? But if he wasn't on the team someone else would surely step up.

Might be wise to rest Shohei for Game 3, with an option to bring him in to pinch hit off the bench. No need to risk aggravating his injury straightaway, and trust in the rest of the lineup to come up with the hits. It might also do to have Shohei have a mental reset to come back swinging better in Game 4, which would be best as with the starters used up I assume Roberts will turn to a bullpen game in Game 4.

I pray to god for ohtani to be okay. The Dodgers need ohtani if they want to win the championship. I don’t watch any sports at all. But I only watch the Dodgers is because of ohtani. In the first game ohtani hit a triple and score to tie the game and that give Freddie freeman a chance to hit that home run. In this game he didn’t do anything. But still ohtani is important because the next 3 games will be play at Yankee stadium. With that powerful Yankee lineup they could be 3-0 at home. So the Dodgers need ohtani

Because he’s first to pitch and base aren’t loaded they can give him their best pitches and placement and the worst that could happened is they walked him. He hit when it mattered and when they can’t just walked him showed it’s not that big of a problem with his hitting though training ground report is not good. Judge on the other hand seemed to have bigger problem, he struck himself out with lack of discipline.

Not a Dodgers fan, but I really hope they can win the WS for Shohei and Freeman. I get that Shohei Ohtani isn't very good in the WS, but his presence is important. He made everyone on the Dodgers better. And don't forget if it wasn't his clutch double in the 8th yesterday, the series will be tied at 1-1. As for Freeman, he is just amazing. Don't forget is playing with one leg. He hit another homerun today. I hope the Dodgers can close the series so Freeman's game-winning homerun won't be irrelevant.
