*Gleyber Torres might've found a flair for the dramatic, as a full-time pinch-hitter! I believe he's 4 for 4 pinch-hitting this year, with a walkoff hit, a double, and a home run. I know he was supposed to be destined for greatness as an everyday player, but do you know how difficult it is finding someone who can come off the bench in close pressure situations late in games multiple times a week, and be consistently successful? That Bobby Witt jr steal should have been safe. The defender pushed him off the base

During the game, they interviewed the Official Umpire in the scoring booth about whether Witt was safe or out. He stated that the call on the field was correct. The play was reviewed several times in slow motion and it showed that Witt was going to over-slide the base regardless of Torres sliding into him. Watching it live it looks like Torres pushed him off, but in slow motion Witt's whole body was already past third base and still sliding as Torres applied the tag.

If the game goes on for more than 5 or 6 innings like for example if the starts raining and it doesn’t stop, they will call it off like they did in the 8th inning. Does that help?

After the losing team's 5th inning and the umpire deems the game is no longer playable, he can "call" the game (the leading team wins). If the game is really close or important, he can suspend the game (resume the game at a later date). If it's before the 5th inning, he cancels the game entirely. If there's a equipment failure in the stadium, the game is automatically suspended.
