Notice how Yanni is able to change out certain musicians as time passes...but a solid drummer is FOREVER....Nobody replaces Charlie Adams. And rememer....the drummer never gets a break. The beat must go on.. Respect Charlie

I love to see the warmth of long standing friendship on Yanni's face as he plays with Charlie Adams drumming. I grew up in the sixties to battles of the bands that were always won by the best drum solos. Yanni always blisses out from the music. I love to see that. Charlie is a creative genius with those oh so rapid drumsticks making sound in a myriad of unusual ways.

3:06 that amazing "riff" that Yanni does with his right hand several times during this piece is my favorite part. I watch it over and over. Ive seen him try to do it now at an older age and he cant quite do it. Its sad but is also verry telling of how difficult it is to play his music.

The first concert I went was the “Live at the Acropolis” tour in 93’, I was 7. My parents got us tickets about 6 rows back and centered. I can vividly remember the entire set list, but when it came to Marching Season, I knew it was about to get real.

That was a Buddy Rich-inspired drum solo by Charlie Adams. He even used the same drum setup that Buddy had. I have never seen any other drummer do this before. Charlie nails it, magnificently. I was blown away by his copying two of Buddy Rich's drum solos into one. Amazing stuff.
