I just started my locs. I watched too many "loc videos" and I started to feel overwhelmed about growing locs. Then I found this lady and I feel so refreshed. Her videos makes locs fun again for me. Helped me remember why I wanted locs in the first place. Natural! Low maintenance! Beautiful! Long healthy hair!. Thank you. For making videos like this, and for showing people like me. How easy and simple locs can be.

Since this comment. I learned I was an Israelite, and that locs are apart of an East Indian ritual, and I was committing spiritual fornication by having them. So I took them out.

I just want to say that I don’t have locs, but bc of you my natural hair is thriving without the products. I use rose water on my scalp and move the sebum with fingers by massage. Bc I wear my hair out, I have to do it often to keep it from getting dry but we don’t need all these products causing us irritation. Thank you!

I no longer use any moisturizer on my Locs. I only use Jamaican Black Castor oil and tea tree oil on occasion (if itchy). I rarely Retwist partly because I don’t have time or just pure laziness. I also have a spray bottle with rose water and spring water to refresh & moisturize my Locs. Seeing this video makes me feel I am doing everything right! My hair is flourishing and I am going on 2 years and 4 months in my journey. Thanks for keeping us “woke”.

Yes! I live in Ohio. It's very cold and it isn't even officially winter yet. Since I've gone back to work and work in the cold I've kept my hair wrapped up in my silk bonnet under my cotton hat. When I'm home? Still in my silk bonnet. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! My hair is not dry. My scalp does not itch. I wash my hair once a month in the winter. Been applying rose water and vit e to the roots at night and spraying my head with rose water. MY HAIR IS FLOURISHING AND GETTING NAPPY AND HEALTHY! I am expecting to work with 2-3 inches of new growth to start my loc journey on Jan. 1, 2019 😁

I literally go days without touching my hair and its growing super fast. I also keep my satin bonnet on. P. S. I drink 3/4 of a gallon of Natural Spring water every day. I get my drinkinh from a free flowing Natural Spring.

I use the black Jamaican castor oil its is the bomb dot com lol seriously and I just started using the rose water I mix it with vitamin e like she said it is amazing my locs are so light and fluffy and they feel soooo goood and not oily and it smells so good. I have to remind myself not to use to much lol , that jamaican castor oil really helped my locs grow and my hair thicken especially around the edges I also stopped retwisting so ofter I was doing it once a month and know I retwist every 3 months after my next retwist I'm going to actually try going 6 months and start interlocing twice a year. Yannie gives the best advice and if you try it and it works for you then do it if not do what works best some times you gotta try it out. I figured out its best 5o stop looking at others locs and just pay attention to your own and what works and boom that's when the magic starts :)

I haven’t even watched the video yet, I just want to add that I’ve been locking for almost 2 years and I only use natural oils in between retwist. NO WATER (only because I’m afraid of mildew) No breaking, no thinning, just regular castor and olive oil do just fine in restoring my dry, stiff hair, but usually I use a mix of a few oils.
