It's crazy how alot of ppl dont realize how intelligent Yao is. He came into the NBA and didnt speak a word of English, and by the time he left, he is completely fluent, and articulate. He barely even has a Chinese accent. I know Chinese ppl who have been here for decades that still have hard Chinese accents.

If you come to the US when you're younger, you'll have less of an accent. Once you get to a certain age, it becomes all but impossible to lose the accent no matter how well you know the language.
