Born in Guam but was raised in Yap💗 For 12 years, Yap has been home, where everything began for me. Home is Home and Yap is Home🌺 The longest I've ever been off of Yap was only a year, and it all started when I came back to Guam for High School last summer 2018. Can't wait to go back😩😍 Nothing is more great than going places that is far from Home but still carrying on the pride and knowledge of the tradition and culture 😌 Let's keep our History alive, for sure that 4 years from now, I'll come back to watch this again💗

Greetings from PNG. My lovely people of YAP. We are beautiful Pacific islanders

It's been many years--okay, almost 40--since I was a Peace Corps Volunteer on Yap and, although this beautiful video shows that there have been many, many changes on the island, it also shows that many, many things have, remarkably, stayed very much the same. And it made me want to return more than anything I have seen in a very long time. Thank you very much for all the time, hard work, and artistry that went into making "Yap Day 2019: 51 Years of Rich Cultural Heritage and Traditions." I'd just like to add that, in addition to all of the great images that appear in the video, I liked the music you chose very much indeed. I know that opinions like that are very personal to each viewer but, for me, without being at all intrusive or distracting, the music set a wonderful underlying mood for observing and thinking about the photographs. Again, many, many thanks to everyone involved in making this terrific memento of a time, a place, and a people. Best wishes always.

The last time I've been to Yap was to see my grandmother and grandfather in 2017. Two years later, it seems like some things changed and some things haven't. I'll make sure to come back to Yap in at least three years.

OMG, they look so Polynesians. Their houses and even the way they put their heI or flowers around their necks and on their heads are completely similar than the Gawain and Tahitian. Their dances too. What a discovery am making today Must visit that island and look into the origin of these wonderful people
