Hi, Tristan. I've only seen noodling once before and even that was on TV (a young lady noodling holes in a riverbank). Not sure I'd be willing to give it a try, but did enjoy watching you catch one. Around here I see guys noodle the Arkansas river. It’s only about 1-3’ deep in most spots, but when they find a hole they’ll swim down in there and wrestle some behemoths out even with no gloves. Biggest I’ve seen caught by hand was about 50-60 lbs. I’ll pass on that one 😆

I've watched a lot of noodling videos. Looks like so much fun! You did great for your first time. I wouldn't mind seeing more of this kind of content to add to your variety. Never went noodling before, but I do love some fresh Catfish. Couple nice ones Tristan. And your recipe for cooking sounds good. Never thought about using hot sauce as a starter. Turned out really good it looked like. Nice and tasty I bet.

You make your burner out of an old gas watter heator you weld the burnner to a stanand use a 5 gall propane bottlle it works for a large fish fry (( 2:04 just an old texan))

I just use the whole bottle and dump it back when it cools. That way its sealed and will last longer to use multiple times. It will last you 6 months or 8 to 10 uses maby more if you only do a little.

Golly tristan ive been following you since before covid. I watched you grow up. But if ya need to learn how to cook i can teach you. The oil was too hot. Dont wash the fish out and heck please dont use plastic to get it out!. There are metal strainer spoons that are better..or if you want to be gritty get wooden spoons. The plastic taste doesnt belong in a deep fry or a grill. And maybe consider peanut oil.... not trying to be a hater. Ive been binge watching the vids again.. just tryna help

Oh and if you're deep frying don't throw whatever it is in there. The oil is more scared of you than you are of it. Drop the meat with your fingers close and be gentle. Lay the meat down like putting a baby to sleep (I tried thinking of a better way to explain that) just please stop throwing it in there the splash will burn you and I'm sure cleaning the oil off the floor is getting annoying.
