I loved watching you fish for it, catch it, reel the fish in, and getting to see its majestic self. I loved watching you let it go, and seeing it swim off into its amazing, water bound Kingdom. Great job. Thank you for letting us watch! Matthew 4:19 KJV - And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Very nice! Never handled a drum that big. Here in Iowa, we have fresh water drum. We eat them when we catch them and keep the otoliths. The otoliths on that black drum would be quite large.

Ive been alot ofplaces and seen a lot of giants but THIS appeared to be the biggest freshwater drum ive ever seen- then you mentioned black drum and it made more sense. As black drum go do they normally get this big?

OMG Ty! I probably would have gone in the drink. You have a crazy Drum pulling hard, your kayak is floating away standing in the Kayak, now you need your ore plus another line in the water. As I’ve gotten nearly 60 my coordination sucks and I would have been swimming but the rod would still be in my hand even after the 2nd, 3rd, 4th , etc.. I would be laughing my ass off though. I don’t ever see fish that big ever! Loved it Ty!

Great one, I remember back in 1970s there was a train tresle going across the Myakka River in Englewood Fl. We would catch monster black drum there. On our way back to North Port we would watch for seagulls. When we saw them hitting minnows on the top we would throw a jig in& a speckled trout would hit it. We would put a balloon on it & let it go. We would follow it for an hour catching one after another, with them fighting over the jig. One day we counted them& pulled in 95 in 3hrs. Only kept a couple of them. Those were the days my friend lol
