I am 71. In the late sixties early seventies my father became a beekeeper at the age of 50 in order to support the almonds he planted. And he needed a secondary and tertiary income since we had just started the farm. It is amazing to watch beekeepers just go into a swarm of bees and not be concerned. I learned a heck of a lot about bees and it's all amazing. 2nd income renting out hives 3rd income amazing honey

We used to have bee equipment in our garage on the farm (where i grew up) and usually on a Sunday afternoon, a swarm would land on the drive way close the the garage and start marching into one of the empty hives. (we usually left a little comb starter ready for them. By Sunday night they would all be in and we'd carry the hive to where the others were.

We became interested in beekeeping & learning about all things Honey🐝s after watching videos from Yappy, Rooster, & the others in your circle of friends. During the winter of 2022, we spent our evenings watching YT & learning from you guys. We realized quickly how important it is that we learn from those who have a passion for the 🐝s rather than those only in it for profit. As of right now, all of our hives came from a swarm that we removed. We are in NE Indiana so our swarm season is a bit later than yours, but we have already had 1 successful removal last week, 2 so far this week with another one tomorrow. We now have 10+ hives & we continue to add more with each swarm removal. Grateful we were able to build our hives without paying for a single bee. You've taught us how different each swarm can be & the characteristics that are important to pick up on. No matter if it is a simple ball on a shrub or a well-established colony inside a dead tree, we can always find a Yappy video to help guide us through each new scenario we encounter. Your explanations are perfect for me because I have to know "the why" in every situation while my husband is able to watch what you do & replicate it...best of both worlds! We've learned more than we ever dreamed. Yappy, thank you for instilling confidence and encouraging us to move beyond just a "new hobby." We are so thankful we have found our new passion & also proud to play a small part in helping to strengthen the bee population & strong genetics within our local community.🐝❤️🐝 This video is a perfect example of your appreciation for the beauty of the swarm & the care you take to protect our honey🐝s. Thank you, Yappy!!🤗

As from the bees perspective, idk if I'd want that Queen or not. She keeps getting lost 😁 that second cluster of bees on the ground just short of the hive, I agree. I think she landed short there. Especially since we know she's horrible at directions and finding the right address LOL then when you messed with her you got what little sense of direction she did have ALLLL messed up lol and then the workers bees had to surround her and walk her in the door. This proves it's a good thing the Queen don't leave the hive unless she's moving 😂 This one wouldn't find her back home. She'd get lost coming back from the corner store with her little bags lol
