This Khutbah is very timely, because a lot of us were going through that phase which Sheikh has discussed. I used to go through the posts, on the lookout for anything which could be forwarded. Alhamdulillah, this mosseba has made our Tawakkul stronger and has revealed so much about the hypocrisy of this world. Personally, my faith is stronger than ever, I have discovered people like you, I have spoken up, I have linked up with a group of people in my city to spread awareness, I have started learning Fosha and my Hifz journey, followed your Ramadan series, donated, learned more about Islam and the life of our Prophet pbuh and his companions,... Through the sadness and anger, I feel closer to the path our Creator wants me to follow. It breaks my heart but I don't want to stop watching because I want to know. I fully resonate with this and may Allah forgive for this shortcoming. I wanted to add that the problem of consuming this horrific type of content is that the algorithm tailors it around what you interact with, so the more you click the buttons (to help the different families for example or images coming from main media regarding the G3n0c1d3) the more that social media will suggest it. And at a certain point you see it so much (because of your duty to bear witness to it) that becomes too much to bear and you start feeling fatigue over the type of content. If those social media algorithms weren't made like that it would have been certainly easier to cope with this humanitarian issue. May Allah forgive us all once again for this and may Allah help our brothers and sisters in Palestine get a ceasefire and an end to all of the occupation so that they can live freely and no more content like this is on our screens again.

This was a nice Friday Khutbah, where I don't have access to any. I feel tears in my eyes, not sure what they are. The emotional burden of feeling helpless is indeed overwhelming. Thank you for acknowledging it. A comment on a youtube video to hack the algorithm is my burnt sheep's foot and it does something, just see how much the 'evil' is paying to try and achieve that.

I have the same problem like the woman. For years I've been advicating for Palestinian liberation and the people of Palestine and it was never an easy task. But who cares, what is easy.. But since the genocide started so many of us are exhausted from seeing all these horrible pictures and videos, the activism that doesnt seem to work or is at least a back and forth and small victories and heavy losses and all the lies and gaslighting. This is what gets to me. All the lies, all the gaslighting basically the world is turned upside down when the politicians, media and so many people talk about Palestine and israel. But every time i feel like giving up i think about the incredibly resilient, steadfast and wonderful people in Gaza, all of Palestine and those in the diaspora. They are not giving up and drowning themselves in misery. So who am I to do that? I live a relatively comfortable life, especially in comparison to so many who are suffering right now.
