Beautiful lecture. May Allaah bless and preserver Sh. Omar Suleiman. Aameen I was waiting for the the series to resume and am so glad that it was on parenting, actually it's the best talk on balance between the rights of parents and children. One thing though, the story of the man who brought his son to Umar(ra), it's apparently not found in authentic books of knowledge, and no sanad is known of it.

I can not stand what is socially acceptable here where I was born. Like shouting and being rude. Or excluding someone cause you don’t like their color or find it offensive because it’s racist to you. This is my experience. I am not saying this happens everywhere. Some of my coworkers are messed up. They seem color blind. But someone would call me racist for taking up for myself or accusing them of being disrespectful. It is not that. I don’t understand people.

Chinese parents ? Whats right to them is what “tHeIr” parents have taught them and it reflects. They got taught by loud disgusting dumb people. No justice. The only authority is someone older. Islam is always said to be the oppressive law but is never reviewed. Just look at western parents. So cold and distant. That is not freedom
