When I became a Muslim, in 1991, a Pakistani brother told me about the Intifada, the occupation and apartheid and the illegal state of Israel, and it was an education, as I was a typical Westerner, who had only heard the false narratives, and Christian Zionist propaganda.We didn't have social media, but I went to the library, and started with Edward Said's books, and I wrote Human Rights Watch, and they sent me two really thick books on Israel's torture tactics, and the occupation. Palestine has been my cause ever since. My daughter's father is Palestinian. ❤ The Palestinians are the salt of the earth, wonderful people and culture, and their implicit faith in Allah, and their steadfastness, resistance, and resilience in the midst of a genocide, inspired me to start practicing my faith again 🇵🇸♥️🇵🇸♥️🇵🇸

As-salamu 3alaykoum wa rahmatou lillah wa barakatuh. I‘ve reached minute 39:25 and I just realised that what I felt in Syria in 2005, that peaceful atmosphere, I couldn‘t believe, from what was happrning around, that beauty and nobility of its people is probably proof that it is protected by angels. I told every single soul, I came across, when I returned from that trip. So many memories of tears of joy when I took the path the Prophet SAS took and was recognised by the monk in Bassora, the tears when I arrived in a christian village and children sang „Our father“ and realised that they called God: Alloh“. I have travelled a bit and Syria is up there on top of my list. May Allah protect our brothers and sisters in Sham and Yaman, Phelisten, Uyighurs and in Myanmar. Ameen!

This is a confession. When I heard about the Prophet (PBUH) struck the rock three times, I thought our Imam is exaggerating, then when he said it was narrated by a companion, I thought maybe the Prophet was exaggerating about the lights and Asham. The same night, when I checked the daily verse, this came : " And if the messenger were to invent any saying in Our name, we should certainly seize him by his right hand. (69:45-46)". May Allah forgive me for my doubts.
