I loved this!!!! The only thing I disagree with is Lewi's idea that younger generations are eternally distracted by social media. While it's true that many people are, confirmation bias might be at play here. I'm from a different country, and I've always attended public school and college. From my experience, maybe 40% gravitate toward that "Yara" mentality. If you look closely, it's often people over 50 who seem lifeless, without hobbies, and glued to Facebook, believing everything they read.

What a great interview: Presence, Insightfulness, Informative and a joy to watch. While on vacation in 2019, I had the pleasure of meeting Yara Shahidi and was able to personally tell her how refreshing it was to see a young entertainer so brilliant and poised; and that I looked forward to watching her growth and success. Yes, I extended my appreciation for this incredible human being to her parents and family and will always remember the warmth and generosity of the time they shared with me. I'm still watching, Yara Shahidi and I am still impressed, as she is consistently present in interviews, true to her self, humble, dynamic, creative and intellectual, I love it, and I love her. This interview was also great because of the way the pair vibed...a reciprocal understanding and appreciation of one another, bringing out more from one another. I loved witnessing this deep and meaningful dialogue. Now, I must check out the Optimist Project! Congratulations! Thanks Lewis Howes!! "Powerful" indeed.

Lewis you have such a brilliant show I love the knowledge and insights from every single guest. I just wonder why Yara did not receive the same intro with accolades as every other guest, the question style was quick fire rounds instead of the deep thoughtful space usually created and it just felt all round less playful on an energetic level.

At Minute 3:30, the question and discussion of, "Are you happy" comes up. Notice how awkward she becomes. I think that's because the question is disingenuous. Authentic people are sometimes happy, and sometimes not. The real question is "Do you love your life and are you at peace?".
