lol me too! My husband always tells me to think of what’s going to happen, pull and it comes towards me and push and it goes away (dumps) 😊😅

Also, just wondering do the Boer goats 🐐 breed year around or seasonal? We have a buck and 9 girls and I haven’t seen anything from him and I can’t find anything definitive on google. Thanks

Our experience is that boer goats can be bred year round. We turn bucks in on May 1st for fall kidding and October 1st for spring kidding. Sometimes the does aren’t in heat right away as they cycle every 18-21 days so we leave the buck in for at least a month to cover everyone. One buck should be able to cover at least 10 does. You can use a marker harness on your buck to see if he is actually breeding; we have some bucks that only breed at night so we never see the action but the does do get bred! We also make sure to set out lick tubs, loose minerals, and sometimes grain all goats (does and bucks) for a month before breeding if body condition is not where it should be.

Ok good thing I asked, I’ll be watching for udders and swelling in back! Thanks so much for taking the time too go through this with me. Have a great day!!

@@lindatornowski2421 you’re welcome! Hope fall kidding goes well! Any does that don’t get bred for fall kidding we transfer to our spring kidding group so they eventually get to be mamas!
