Growing climbing beans - purple noodle beans, yard long green beans, Asian long beans - tastes just like regular green beans and are equal to about 4 large regular green beans.

I did these purple noodle beans, last year in the Pacific NW. they did great! Just don’t let them get fat, as they get leathery. Great for the sauté

Yes, they seem to grow well in our area 6b NE TN. I succession plant and cut and freeze them to use later. This year I'm going to can these along with bush beans.

You mentioned that you just cut them up and freeze them . No need to blanch them? Do they freeze well? Thank you for your reply. Really interested to know how I can preserve my extra harvest.

I haven't blanched them, not sure why people say to do that when freezing, but I've not had any issues when I take them out of the freezer and cook them. I just looked it up and supposedly blanching stops the enzyme action which affects color, taste, and texture - um I haven't had a problem with any of those lol.
