Craftsman box is much better quality than what they are today. I remember as a kid in the late 70's looking through the Craftsman tool catalogs and dreaming 😊. AL B.

You killed it this weekend! Amazing deal for $50. Plus the $100 for that box was good too.

My dad found that even a larger cheap socket had its use. Mostly to remove or seat a bearing as you are tapping it down more evenly then left right top bottom

They are handy to keep around for stuff like that, or it a socket needs to be modified for a special job

I love how now a days we gotta spend 50 bucks for tool organization inside the tool box, be it rubber mats or bins. Back then they used cardboard...

Love those grey and red craftsman boxes for the 70s, getting hard to find in my part of the world

Wow, nice haul Adam. I would have been all over that deal too. That snap on screw driver you put in the junk box can be warranted and those two old craftsman ratchets probably just need cleaned and some oil. The 1/2 inch ratchet had a Flying V selector on it. Don’t throw that gem away. I’m a fan of your tool haul videos, and I don’t mind if they go long. Keep them coming. Did those keys fit the new tool box? Nice job, thanks.

That Craftsman tool box and cabinet is well made. I got mine in 1974 and still have it with older tools. We used to cut up plastic place mats to line the drawers. The tire iron at 26:22 looks like the ones that were used with the old suicide 20" wheels on Chevy 2 ton trucks in the 1950s. There was one under the seat of my 1956 6400 but I took all of the suicide rims off and replaced them with the split rims right away. Good Luck, Rick

Aren't split rims also suicide rims? Like one in the same?
@richardross72199 ай бұрын
@@A_barrel The ones that I had on my very old truck were 2 piece and they split in the middle. They were notorius for blowing while driving. I replaced those with 3 piece that had a ring and locking ring on one side. These sometimes let go when inflating which is why I had to wrap the tire and wheel with a chain incase something slipped. Its been over 30 years and they haven't let go yet. Its just a yard truck. Good Luck, Rick

When I see boxes of tools at yard sales I always ask how much for all of it, sometimes you score big😅

Please, Please, Please don't throw that Craftsman 1/2 ratchet in the donate pile. It has the flying V selector switch. It can be rebuilt or used to rebuild another. The little pipe wrench is similar to Footprint and Fabrex pipe wrenches. There are tons of clones.
@yadda_tools9 ай бұрын
And great buy! Those Cornwell star Square socket can probably be sold to pay for the whole lot including the box.
