Yard Sale'd the Ducati V4 | A-SuperBike Expert | CMRA R6 Eagles Canyon Raceway

A rough day of racing ensued after a straight yard sale at turn 6 in the A-Superbike class of the CMRA 2023 season. The weekend was going well and I found time each session. Set up changes brought more confidence and lower lap times. The lap before my crash, I set a new PB and was on par to set another. However, being a bit too eager to make up time after my poor start resulted in me pushing/ tucking the front in a fast right sweeper at about 105-110mph. As I slide off track I tumbled and my ‪@dainese‬ D-air suit deployed perfectly. Not sure what happened to the bike, but best guess is that it flipped, a lot. My ‪@ShoeiHelmets‬ only had minor scratches and the ‪@AlpinestarsVideos‬ gloves/ boots kept me from braking any extremities. The gear did its job and really saved me on this one. I literally got to walk away with only minor bumps & bruises. The bike is in rough shape and will take some serious time to rebuild. One step at a time one day at a time. But Ill be back soon.
Sadly the ‪@GoPro‬ 10 black stopped recording about two laps before the crash. So the old school hero 4 was left to capture the crash & even survived being yeeted into the field after it broke the safety wire.

Thanks dude, C’est la vie right? All part of racing. I got super lucky to be honest. Dude I let off as soon as I saw him go by thinking it was going to a bowling alley! He pulled it off like a champ.

Thanks man, bit of luck and some good gear made all the difference. Yea, I saw that too. Full send on the inside, didn't think it was going to work and thought id be seeing bowling pins but he pulled it off like a champ.

That was a weird crash 🤔 can’t tell weather you lost the rear first or the front. Usually you can ride over the hump but I try to avoid it by taking a tighter line through there. Glad you’re okay dude! Back to the garage to rebuild or getting something new?

Yea it was kinda odd. Felt like the front pushed then folded. My best guess is it was a combination of running that front tire to long with the hot conditions & letting off the gas mid-corner added just enough load to push the front. Rear came around & yeeted off the track. I’m still tearing into the bike to see how bad the damage is. But I’ll be rebuilding it no doubt.

Essentially that’s the theory, too many heat cycles, hot temps, faster pace & a peak in load with me letting off the throttle mid corner. No real data to back it up
