😂 What the heck! It's a yard sale! Getting up at 6am and wanting to quit by 9am is funny as heck! We do a 2-day yardsale! Open at 7am, quit at 3pm or 4 pm, sometimes til 5pm, if were doing good! Get rid of it! That's the point! 😂 Friday and Saturday.

I just love how everybody works together. This was a great idea and the kids who were saying that they were going to save their money. You guys taught them well. I don’t know anyone around their age who would even think about saving it for more than a few weeks.

Great video! I actually felt as if I was transported into your lives for a couple of hours and had to orient myself to my life when it was over!! Thank goodness Mark stepped in and got the kids involved in doing a yard sale! And everyone (with a couple of exceptions, that is ;)) made it happen. Great success kids! We tend to have garage sales in my country so we take a few days to set it up so it's ready to go because even if you have it to start at 7 am or 8am people will be knocking on your front door at 6am. My family wouldn't open the door early because it's rude of them to drive down our long driveway, park in front of the garage blocking off half of it then knocking on the door at 6am when they know it doesn't start until later. You guys all did an amazing job on your yard sale. It's a really great way to teach the kids the value of money. Shelley I think your mistake turned into a massive plus on many lessons. I think that you could even get away with saying 'this is exactly what I intended this for'. Xx

I mean, minus the headache of being out in the sun all day, picking up, transporting, unpacking, moving and restacking the items for sale, I'd say that was a really good return on your investment of a few bucks on auction. I've told this story to 2 people and both were like, "I would die if that happened to me," because no one has room for like 8 pallets of stuff and it's unbearably hot. I think I could imagine doing like 2 of those maybe in the winter for a garage sale, but beyond that, it's totally overwhelming. Probably why the stores auction the stuff off anyway, so they don't have to deal with it anymore.

I recently dyed my hair and I used the same brand of dye but in medium chestnut and it came out so red. It was so pretty! I loved it! But the red washed out and now it's still a pretty brown but I miss the red so much lol!

Use makeup remover to easily get hair dye off skin around hairline/neck! I always do it, using a cotton pad, right after my husband finishes applying the hairdye for me. It works a treat!
