We drove by and just had to stop at this yard overflowing with over 150 rusty beauties. My eyes were on a wild scavenger hunt until I stumbled upon a Mercury 250 pole truck! Stick around till the end-you won’t believe the deal we snagged!

idda rented a trailer and tow hitch form uhaul and towed the tow truck home, save some money, that lil' 327 would haul it easily up and down mountain passes no probs . . park and lock it up at any uhaul dealers lot whenever you want to stop and drive around so forth, flip em a couple loons usually they have a locked fence or garage you can keep it at a day or so, 8 hours whatever. . some guys have locked the hitch with ball lock on enclosed trailers locked the tongue to a light post leave it for weeks.. stop by and pick it up when you'r ready to hit the freeway again.. easy peasy

Mikes all worried bout long box and duellies when you take the cab and put it on a short box frame or whatever I like the 1955 chevy panel truck now that is badass. I love them old Panel trucks put a big block in it and it be a bad ass ride but I live way down south in Ontario and cost a arm and leg to ship that thing to my place plus the 2800 that he wants for it but man that would be a sweet truck

Well it's a good thing that while Mike was away his wife, Blair, and Casie had that auction and sold everything. Still think they should have held out for more than four grand for the Chevelle. Mike loved that car. Still short notice less than a month to put it together. Now at least if the government shuts down the yard to restore the fields Mike has something to retire on. People scooped up everything but fire sale prices will do that. Cool collection!

checkout the rear ends in those "farms trucks" they make great 1/4 mile rear ends, lower geared and very very strong, the Dana 60 kicks some serious butt, some your 90's ford vans had the D50's and D60' in it, 3/4 ton .. (12 bolt)
