This is one of the things i love about run8. Theres more to do than just run a train from point A to B on the mainline.

Thanks for the great vid, Spur. It was enjoyable. Learned a bit more about yarding. Would love to get a hold of your "world".

I believe L743 was backing in for a while, and they would pick up a cut for Wildwood before continuing south.

Hey I’m new to your channel and I currently work on intermodal yard for Norfolk southern n was curious why you chose to leave the railroad. I’ve been looking into becoming a conductor.

Never shoved in. Always pulled in and cut power or do an end runaround.

The best thing about those super long trains is trying to spot 9000 tons with a pair of beltpack GP9’s with no air. A couple weeks ago, I was yard Foreman on the trim job, pitched it to my partner on the head end while I was on the tail end and he almost side swiped another train. At first I was pissed at him but then I asked myself why the f*** are we pulling 9000 tons no air with 2 beltpack engines. In terms of shoving into yard, at my terminal it’s not very practical. Everyone noses in and either yards in the receiving or what we call the west yard.
