In fact I love her and always did, I just hated how gimmicky and buggy she felt, but after this augment, Loyal Merulina, I loved to be able to play her and have been using her for almost anything as she is my "comfy pick". Btw I did read on reddit that armor archon shards do buff merulina's armor, making it last way longer, and tried it and I think it actually works as I feel it's way more tanky. However I'm not theorycrafter, so it might be a placebo, but I really do feel it does work.

The first time I tried her I liked the kit except the 2, I am not fond of k-drive. Then when I heard people saying she's trash I said to myself they do not know how to play her or they do not like her kit. For a week now I decided to go again with her and using Loyal Merulina, doing a steelpath is fun. Farming void angel with her. I use her kit with no change. Did archon with a group and can tell you I was not the one dying.

Something to note about Riptide, that is important to properly making a decision about injecting another ability over it: Any enemy within is considered "killed by cold damage" on death, even if the Riptide's cold damage isn't the actual source of the killing blow. This has very obvious synergy with Archon Flow, for energy orb generation. I can attest from personal experience that it's extremely strong, I basically have infinite energy on her due to this synergy.

@@Yumiaia-26 personally, I've barely touched nourish, the energy gain is often in excess of what you need and the viral damage can interfere with weapon stat distributions. if there was any truly universal crutch in the helminth system, it would probably be Pillage thanks to great defensive use + armor strip. even then, though, it locks off so many cool options that people never explore. Shock and it's augment for Electric DPS, or Tempest Barrage for Corrosive + VIral priming and even good ability DPS on energy surplus frames. and personal favourite, Reave for some really fun one shot builds. there's so much build diversity and yet people keep going back to the least creative options, I don't get it.

I love merulina so much honestly, i really enjoy just the idea of it and honestly its pretty great when you learn how to weave on and off of it where needed, especially paired with its one augment that gives you the super fire rate buff.

I made my own build with Yareli using Akarius and just riding around on Merulina and blowing everything up with Akarius. Extreme fun in the open world zones. You ride around doing tricks while everything explodes around you. :D

Tbh, I love using the K-drive, just wish it didn't had the bugs. But if they actually merge the Loyal Merulina to her kit as, you summon Merulina getting over it and if you hold cast a second time you get out of her or mount her, that would be perfect bcs when I want to interact with objectives or revive teammates I don't need to worry about getting 1 shot randomly. Also, no matter what ppl say about Loyal Merulina being better, you can't use her former augment that is the one reason I love playing her so much, it basically turns want secondary into a machinegun. You lose that, it's annoying.

Couple things not mentioned about Aquablades: - Its effected area is a donut around Yareli. There's a (small) gap in the center (where Yareli stands) where enemies can't be hit. While this normally never really is an issue that crops up, it's important to know (especially if you're running Infested missions). Also, the donut's height is quite significant, allowing you to hit things above/below by a surprising distance. - Aquablades can only strike a given enemy three times per second. If you look closely at the demonstration of it in the video (6:00), you can easily see this happening on the Heavy Gunners. This restriction is individually tracked per enemy, so it's also not really something that matters in realistic gameplay. Still something worth knowing, however.

Somethings to point out: Sea Snare damage buff is affected on eximus units and thraxes even tho there is no animation (Edit: Damage Buff does not affect Demolyst enemies) Surging Blades is not buffed by Roar so I would highly recommend using Eclipse instead of roar if you're building with that augment Loyal Merulina gives you Stagger Resistance but NO Knockback Resistance so use Primed Sure Footed/Handspring if you're wanting to deal with fire eximus units

I did the Waverider quest in two sittings and it was fine. Don’t know why people complain that much. It’s not the best and the kdrive is quite annoying, but I liked the story quite a lot and the flip and racing stuff wasn’t too bad. Despair incarnon is amazing with riptide. I wasn’t the hugest fan of riptide for ages due to it still making enemies trapped still take damage individually but also most AOE weapons launching some enemies out before you can kill them. When I found out the despair can still do crazy AOE damage to every enemy at once but also doesn’t even let one enemy escape, I knew that was going to be THE weapon to stick to. As a yareli main for a long time now ive become almost a secondary specialist but the despair is the one I say is the best

the boat should be a hold cast ability, so you can just have it follow you in corridors and ride it on open worlds, that way the augment should just focus on a buff into either choice instead of making the augment be the choice. is a no brainer but my guess is that so little players use her that wf is not interested on giving her a very well thought out rework/tweak. seriously hold/tap marelina would have solved the thing instead of sacrificing a mod slot for that, maybe they will slowly build up to a full rework once her prime drops, im wishing it is a grendel/hydroid level tweak in wich she is consolidated, not jsut goodnough

I've been having a lot of fun with my meme Yareli build where I take Tempest Barrage over Aquablades. Taking up two slots for augments doesn't feel great, but sucking everything into my Tempest Barrage's which full strip and applies Viral has seemed pretty strong. Plus all my abilities are very wet. It also just synergizes well with the Catabolyst. Grouping enemies for the grenade reload does insane damage.

only partially. they always add compensation for the use of a mod slot. also, in this case it isn't really true unless there was another way to get on and off merulina. I honestly think merulina should just be a passive you can summon from your gear wheel and she should have some ability in that slot that does something different depending on whether you're riding merulina or not.

Finally building Yareli now that Loyal Merulina is out, and I'm wondering if a Viral Tempest build would be good, especially with 2 green shards to fully strip with Tempest Barrage. Just not sure how to build something like that or if keeping higher efficiency would be worth it for more constant Sea Snares from Merulina. I imagine fully stripping armor and inflicting viral and damage vulnerability, then walking up with Aquablades out would deal a pretty hefty amount of damage; all while keeping a Helminth that fits Yareli's water theme.

I think if you didn't change anything else, If she could both ride Merulina around and summon her Loyal form, it might actually make her turn some heads, needing to switch augments before missions is a real pain in the butt and leads to awkwardness when you forget to do so.

Last night i tried her with the loyal meryilina augment and i noticed i was getting the 200% boost to her primary weapon. I was using the Burston Prime incarnon and was going from the normal orange crits to all red crits when her passive kicked in. Tried a few different missions, samething. So i am thinking the augment also also allows primary's to crit harder.

I subsumed Gloom over her 1 back when she came out, because I could press 1 (Gloom), and then hop on Merulina. I had no idea it increased the damage dealt. :o I also has no idea the Augment for her 3 interacted that way with her bubbles. That's so damn funny! I'm so glad DE gave you early access to Dante. I wouldn't have found your channel otherwise! I already stole you Citrine build, and she's insane, and now I'm gonna give Yarely another chance. I love the kawaii UwU frame, I just don't really know how to play her... edit: Wondering if subsuming over her 3 isn't the best option, since you're not using her Augment for that ability. You're using the Bubbles to increase weapon damage, and weapons have a longer range than her 3. At least her 4 can group enemies, and you can still cast 1 on them.

People will see this frame and meme about k-drive controls and assume that automatically makes her bad as if she hasn't gotten buffed in every single patch since she came out in 2021. Like. No, y'all, getting her is not that bad, and if you really hate K-drive so much you can literally actually complete the quest by doing nothing but grinding back and forth on the pipe behind the Fortuna entrance on the Vallis for an hour. No, she doesn't control that badly, just stop holding down sprint because she already moves plenty fast. Merulina is literally a stronger Warding Halo, the damage vuln of Sea Snares activates even on CC-immune enemies, Riptide is Vortex But Better, this girl is completely insane. Yareli's reputation reminds me of Revenant where for some reason people kept gaslighting themselves into thinking the frame was bad even though he is *literally invincible at all times and has max HP scaling ability kills on VIP targets,* because I guess some people just really don't want to stop playing Saryn long enough to actually play a frame themselves and just listen to what youtubers were saying on the patch day that introduced them and then never update their opinions a single time.

@@Manjozo I'm not even the actual Yareli main; I just have a friend who's one and genuinely she makes it look easy. This frame's just got so much power level stacked on her and all you gotta do is humor k-drive a little. I promise it's not that bad.

Why not run efficiency if it reduces your pets bubble spam? Was thinking you would have had more efficiency mods than anything.
