Thanks for showing the stitches! I've always done plain patterns and moss I'm wanting to try a new pattern and a bit different that requires these stitches so thanks for that. 🥀💜🧶

You are a lifesaver!! The eyelets on a pattern I’m knitting we’re not very well explained and I understand now! It makes sense now with what you said about US vs English terms. I am used to seeing yo being an American, but I do knit English style (:

I had a look at your video again just recently & I agree it is confusing the way it's named by Americans. THANKYOU AGAIN!! 🥀🧶🥀

I am a bit lost with what you do with the extra stitches my pattern says ybk, s1p, yfrt. Can you help me please?

Thank you - my pattern says 'knit 2 together' to get rid of that extra stitch but I didn't know how 'yarn forward' was done.

Hi Fiona, In have been working a simple pattern for a throw; Row 1. K1 *yf k2tog, yf k2tog to last stitch then k1. Row 2, purl the whole row. I have so far knitted a foot long piece with cotton yarn and it's looks attractive and Lacey and is easy, but.... My question is this; Why does the knitting slant, I have just noticed after all the rows that I have knitted and my knitting does not look like a rectangle, it's sloping, I am worried. If I start again will it slant again? Please advise me. I have 54 stitches. Thank you!

You may be increasing accidentally. I had the same problem when someone informed me I may be increasing unknowingly. Check "accidental increases in knitting" on youtube. Several great videos that helped me correct the problem. Happy knitting.

fiona i'm having a very difficult time watching this video as it looks like the wooden table in the background is breathing, writhing like a living being. at first i thought i was hallucinating but now i feel like i'm going to vomit. it was a very good tutorial nonetheless

I see what you mean about table 😄😄 its just the magnifying glass when moving needle. Just concentrate on her movements and you won't notice it lol....😄🥴🤪😅

Anyone know what ytf means?? My pattern tells me to *ytf, sl 1, K2 tog, psso, ytf, K9
@onetiredwriter
@onetiredwriter 7 ай бұрын
yarn to front - so as if you were purling. your pattern means, i think - slip 1 stitch with yarn in front, knit next 2 stitches together, pass the slipped stich over the k2tog, then yarn to front again, then knit next 9 stitches. i think of ytf as a yarn over

@djfeather4646

The whole point of a yarn over (YF etc) IS to make holes. It is a stitch used specifically in lace patterns.
