I live in the United States, and the Aldi's around my area do not have any yarn. It is so great to find good acrylic yarn for low price. I'm allergic to wool, so acrylic is my go-to yarn. ❤

Your yarn stash is brilliant! I have a double wardrobe from Ikea full of yarn plus 43 boxes of monthly subscription crochet wool as well, then I regularly buy yarn from the Range and when I came across your video saying about Aldi and their new yarn, I promptly went to the St Austell branch here in Cornwall and bought half a trolley more!! I did get quite a few requests from men asking if I'd knit them a jumper! bless 'em. My trouble is, I'm a knitter who is trying desperately to learn how to crochet watching from YT channels in America using the American terminology, but for the life of me I cannot understand the blessed patterns, I've numerous teaching books showing how to crochet, but none show you how to read and understand the pattern terminology!! My trouble is though, I CANNOT WALK PAST A WOOL SHOP WITHOUT BUYING MORE WOOL!! I have bought the Divante semi shiny DK acrylic wool from the Range and I find it knits, plus the small crochet samples I've ventured to make from just making up some stitches, quite nicely. I think I am a lost cause with crochet which both annoys and frustrates me immensely, but I just love to go and touch my stash periodically as it gives me such pleasure, as I'm now widowed I must get out more!! just wish I could buy, preferably a video, if not, a book showing me how to understand the terminology, I've looked all over Amazon to no avail. I'm 70 years young now, so don't have an awful lot of time left! Love watching your programmes, shame you do not have the time to show someone like myself how to read patterns whether English or American, but I do understand that time is of the essence for you. Keep up the good work.

Love your playlists, I envy you have Bury market, I live in Sussex and have to travel miles to any markets only to find the yarn one isn’t there! Also our nearest Aldi does have much yarn so have to travel at least 45 minutes to a bigger one which I did last Thursday and got a load of baby yarn, keep up the good work X

Oh how I miss a decent market! Years ago there were so many bargains to be had. We moved from outer London a few years back and now my local market is very artisan with £6 price tag on a loaf of bread or £15 for four loaded doughnuts etc.

I really miss Bury market. Lived in Bury for 27 years and the fabric and yarn available in Lancashire and Bury was great.

If you're going to the East Anglian Yarn Festival, Norwich has a stall on their market with yarn. I love it! Not as cheap as yours I don't think but amazing selection in my opinion. Worth a visit if you're around here :) I love going there as it's my local! :)

I live in the states and I love the J C Brett Marble dk ! Ive made socks for myself and its so soft n squishy ! I can't find it in stores now but did manage to find some at my local thrift for .99 cents a ball ! I made a new pair in a rsy pink and have another ball of blue ! I use them for bed socks ut this week they're boot socks with all the arctic air ! Very cozy ! Now to mend a toe in the first ones 😂

What is the difference with ‘roving’ yarn to other yarns? I’ve never heard of it.

Roving yarn is made slightly differently and varies in thickness throughout the ball/skein ❤️

I also know the ship you have shown in Leyland as well so I’m guessing I just live near you! Have you ever been to Kimberley’s Crafts in Horwich, Bolton? She is only a small shop but she packs lots in and Kimberley is so friendly and helpful. Also, Chorley market has quite a nice wool stall. I don't like the feel of the Range yarn. It feels nylony to me. I so wish I lived near Bury. The wool shop has great prices. I'm using the new fashion in lilac and the little 3 packs from Home Bargains in the yellow muti for a hexy just now. I've not used my roving yet. It looks lovely worked up.
