Hi, using the Coboo as I type. Totally agree with your review! The splitting is annoying but the yarn is so beautiful. It’s taking me 3 days to do a simple tank top and I did an oversized boyfriend sweater with pound of love in 3 days! Thanks for the review.

I have made many summer tops from Coboo and I love it.It works up the best in nothing bigger than hdc or extended hdc drying flat seems the best.

I haven’t tried coboo yet but I just felt it for the first time today when I saw it at joann fabrics and to be honest, it was soft but it didn’t feel as soft as I expected it to be. Maybe it was the combination of cotton and bamboo. I like how truboo by Lionbrand feels. It’s very soft. The coboo felt like a weird texture to me.

They used to make the jeans yarn called Lionbrand jeans colors but they discontinued it years ago.

I used the Coobo to make some teddy bears and I have to say I agree with you about having to be careful about the splitting but other then that i thought it was perfect for that project. Im about to try it for a knitting project and defiantly going to take your advice about going down a needle

I just started making a summer top with this yarn. As far as the splitting, the colors and feel make up for any inconvenience I might have. Thanks for the review.

I have tried a few different crochet stitches (double crochet had an airiness like lace, single crochet turned out like yours did & slip stitch had the tightness and was still had a nice stretch for a more form fitting fabric)with the Coboo to see how it looks. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE how it feels. I have sensitive skin so how it feels is very important. I wouldn't recommend a beginner crocheter to use this yarn because of the tendency for it to split since it's a lightly spun yarn. I feel that this yarn should be used by an intermediate level crocheter. I also agree that I would recommend gently hand washing, towel rolled wringing and lay flat to dry so that the texture can be preserved for as long as possible. As far as weaving in the ends, I believe it's best to leave at least double the length of the tail and go up and down diagonally thru the stitches at least 3 times. THANKS

Thank You for this video. I am a big fan of the yarn. I love the feel. I made my daughter an airy sweater using just under two cakes. I machine wash it on the delicate cycle and lay flat to dry. After 3 wearing and washings, it still looks great. It has lost its shine but she loves the feel (she has very sensitive skin). She refuses to fold it so it is stretching on the hanger (teenagers). Not sure if it is the yarn or the stitch. I used a 3.0mm hook and the pattern is all triple crochets. My next project is a scarf in stockinette knit stitch. I'm don't normally do swatches but will be sure to do so now. Thanks so much for this suggestion.

I love how soft this yarn is. I agree with it splitting, it's annoying. I made the Janine t shirt by Ilovetinderbox with some Coboo yarn. It stretches out so much. If I make another wearable with it, I'll most definitely hand wash it.

The stretching issue is good to know, I was thinking of making a lightweight sweater and I can't be bothered to hand wash at this point in my life, I have 2 little kids!

Hi I really enjoyed yarn chat I tried to start a project with that yarn and the same thing happened to me with the slit what do you recommend.

I think if you were to string it with another yarn you would have less splitting. the other year would create resistance and hopefully keep the strands wound together better.
