@@diosdadosasil1559where was Korach and his band swallowed into? What is Isaiah talking about at the end of his book when he says about those that rebelled against God that their “fire and worms” will not be “quenched” and that they will be subjected to everlasting reproach? What about Daniel’s vision of eternal damnation for the utterly wicked? What about the Torah’s constant mentions of reward ‘till eternity’ for covenant observance as a Jew? What about the commandment not to commune with the dead (this presupposes that there’s a way to actually do it) or the saying of “death upon death” that the “dead shall die”? What about the perpetual allusions to Sheol throughout the whole Tanakh and by King David himself in particular? “And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God, Who gave it.” How do you explain the “cut for the soul” for a Jew that doesn’t keep Shabbat? The End of Days is discussed at length in Deuteronomy too. Watch the lecture as opposed to just sounding off. There is an accompanying orally transmitted component that elucidates all of this. The sages are the custodians of these truths-they are continuing the work of Moshe Rabbeinu: “...and I make known the statutes of God and His teachings." Moshe’s responsibility was delegated to them-“The Lord descended in a cloud and spoke to him, and He increased some of the spirit that was on him and bestowed it on the seventy elders. And when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, but they did not continue.” Listen to kosher teachers like Rav Reuven instead of being preoccupied with junk.

@@diosdadosasil1559 All nations believe that some sort of global deluge happened and only a small family survived. All ascribe a transcendent quality to the human life force and are aware of a form of hell. All subscribe to some permutation of a Creator. Sometimes, when everyone thinks about something-it’s on account of it being simply self-evident. If the world is truly descended from Noah, you would expect basic motifs like these to be found in everyone’s belief systems. Of course, their conceptions are watered down and horribly diluted-you shouldn’t look to them for spiritual knowledge, as the Torah is the only real truth and if a thing is 1% lie it’s falsehood-but it attests to the fact that they all derive from a common, primordial tradition in one way or another. So what if pagans also believed in a soul? Ok. Pagans also knew about air. Should we all just stop breathing now? Acknowledgement of the soul is fundamental. Their paths were and still are indeed extremely crooked, but them recognizing the existence immortality and things of that nature is no different than them knowing that air exists-everyone intuitively does, and if you don’t you belong in an institution.
