my great grandfather who was the the grandson of Abubakr effendi changed our surname from Effendi to Emjedi which obviously comes from Al-Amjidy. idk why they changed it, i do want to ask my grandfathers brother bcz he is the only brother left but i don't have close contact with him. my grandfather was also against eating crayfish and was ganafee, but i am shafi bcz of my mother.
