His haku was being drained and even you can tell sesshomaru was suffering minutes after the blow. Towa and setsuna knew that he couldn't really be OK after that full body blow

It really does. I remember when my mom was in the navy and would away from ho, my dad would wrap one of her shirts around my pillow so I could still smell her as I slept (I often slept in their bed at that point). When we met her at the airport, I immediately recognized her scent when I hugged her. I mean I knew it was her by sight, of course, but it was like an instinctual thing upon smelling my mom again after so long. Like everything was just as it should be in my child world. And that's with a human nose, so I can only imagine what it must be like for demon noses, especially after years of separation versus only a few months.

@Tink I was assuming she couldn’t and I really hope that’s the case. Tbh I’ve always been mixed on their relationship precisely because of the necklace. It never made it feel like they were on equal ground to start a natural relationship (as opposed to Kikyo who in the past he came to love, respect, and trust naturally). The fact that its still there in marriage and post story doesn’t sit well with me. I assumed she’d at least have the decency to promise not to use it anymore (it was originally only applied under the misunderstanding that Inuyasha was a dangerous demon). Its hard to have an equal and loving marriage when one person holds all the power. Situations like these are precisely what I hate to imagine happening often for them. Inuyasha was just trying to reassure them and even compliment his brother (if in a roundabout way). If that wasn’t conveyed, it means better communication is needed and further discussion. Not him immediately getting shut down with no opportunity to explain himself. Then again its been forever since I watched the series and I’m skipping ahead so maybe I’m looking at it out of context

In the Japanese dub Inuyasha pretty much said "Good Riddance" when the girls told him Sesshomaru supposedly died but in the english dub Inuyasha is actually showing a lot of pride in his brother by saying "My Brother wouldn't get killed by that"

If the roles were reversed, with Kagome being the one bound by the beads, the audience would be utterly furious about the gender abuse. But, because it’s a guy being unfairly punished, no one gives a shit about that! Because people are always taking pity on girls. After all, girls are always viewed as delicate, frail and helpless. That’s why they NEVER get punished or called out on THEIR bullshit! It’s always the guy that has to suffer while the girl gets off scotfree!

I still hate that the beads of subjectation were never removed. I mean he was framed for a crime he didn’t commit and on top of that Kagome learned about him and his past as the story progressed. Wouldn’t it have been more kinder or honorable of lady kayada to remove it since she heard her older sister give a strange testimony and realized it was Naruko who did the deception. Honestly, after Kagome left or was gone for three years she should’ve removed it. On top of that what kind of relationship or union is it okay to have your spouse collared ? Honestly, I keep thinking about “The rising of the Shield Hero” and how the queen reigned down justice on the king and princess. Why are some girls in anime such overly reactive nonsense chicks who have pretty terrible judgment views on perspectives. She is abusive and a lot of fans don’t care just because he “deserved” it or thought it was funny. No one deserves to be physically assaulted. He always put his life on the line to protect her. He had to deal with her crazy and jealous antics every time Kikyo appeared even though they were not a couple. He didn’t owe her anything. Yes, he got jealous every time Kouga came around but for the most part his anger was directed at Kouga and not at Kagome. Besides, he didn’t use Kikyo or any other girl to make her jealous while Kagome used to lead both Kouga and Hojo in. Inuyasha had real and tangible feelings towards Kikyo. It was not like he was being petty like Kagome was.

i agree, that sit command was so unecessary. its clear that the writers have changed and that Rumiko was no longer leading the direction of this sequel. the lines were cringe as hell too and while i understand Inuyasha and Kagome are older here, they don't seem to have any character traits that made them, THEM. just some shell of what they were from the original series and it shows. Richard Cox still plays a great Inuyasha and im glad that he was choosen to stay as Inuyasha's VA. no one can do it like he does. I also agree that Kikyo was the obvious choice. despite what the manga says, she's always going to be a thousand times better than Kagome. I hardly even see a change in her or any maturity in this sequel at all either.

I thought in the original series they got rid of the beads? The beads were only meant to be a form of protection for Kagome in the early days of their journey before her and Inuyasha were friends. to keep him from attacking her. but once their friendship was established and her safety more assured the beads should have been de-spelled

Well I don't think she intentionally keeps them on him and sometimes he does deserve it. But Inuyasha here didn't even though he was trying to reassure the twins that their father will be alright just in his usual insensitive way. I don't think she actually uses the command much anymore and probably just keeps them on him since they do look nice and maybe he doesn't want them taken off.

The beads at this point have long served their purpose: protecting her from him physically attacking her. not if he says something that upsets or offends her. She can't just assault him whenever she feels like it- and it is assault she controls the beads so it is the same as if she hits him herself

@@red5158077 I have to disagree with you on there. Even if Kagome does not intentionally keep them on Inuyasha, it still shows just how untrustworthy she is, especially towards her own "husband". I also would not call Inuyasha insensitive, he is brash yet blunt. Furthermore, given the painful experiences he has with those beads, I don't think Inuyasha would be that shallow to think they look nice on him.

@@alibrennan5977 I know originally he wanted to steal the Shikon Jewel from her and was, more than likely, willing to kill her for it and so the Beads of Subjugation were given to her in order to give her a way to protect herself from him. As well as protect other people. As for why she hasn't removed them? I'm not entirely sure. They were broken in the third movie and she managed to trick him into putting them on again. I think she worries that, without them, he'll run off and not be there for his family.

@@BrianWalker93 I can think of 3 reasons. 1. She somehow forgets about them. 2. She likes how they look on him so she leaves them on. Or 3. Inuyasha doesn't ask to have them taken off. He doesn't seem to mind having them on much anymore.
