I have a triple lens mod version. The motor is broken so I’m going to make it gas powered with a lawnmower engine soon 😅

Hi. I know it's a good idea to change film in a dark room to avoid exposing it to light. However, I am afraid that I may do it the wrong way while loading the film in a dark place. Is it possible to intentionally discard the first few frames after mounting the camera in a bright place like a regular film camera and closing the film compartment? And when changing the film to use the other side of the film, will all the captured frames be lost if I do it in a bright place? Sorry for the many questions. I wonder what the action of winding the main winding to press the shutter is for. Should I turn the mainspring until it stops turning? What happens to the frame if I don't turn it all the way?

Suggest loading in dim light. You can turn the spring gently til it stops or you feel it getting tight. - Mike

I think there's aport on the side to use a "cable release" for single frames.

quick question that might be dumb but im gunna ask anyway, so that square where the actual film is exposed (0:58) i was wondering how that works? since a part of film will be exposed to light when not shooting or switching lenses and such. will it just work as a transition and be blank when developed/scanned?

When the shutter is not running, film is not exposed to light.

How do i search lenses for this cam ? I mean, wahts the correct name for this lenses? I Have the Yashica 8 (plane) but without lenses, and can`t find any.

They're called D-Mount lenses. Note that it might be cheaper to search cameras that include lenses than lenses alone.

FPP Cine8 40 Color Negative is Kodak Vision3 50D. (It's rated at 40 iso because most vintage auto cameras only dial up to 40 iso.)

The Yashica-8 series look more "professional" and polished compared to the Kodak, Keystone and B&H models. Without looking them up, I bet that they cost a pretty-penny when new....
