No way this can deliver 5000 watts at any voltage, current or speed ! Yes a PM BLDC motor can serve as a 3-phase AC PM alternator. You only need to rectify 3 phase ac output using a 3-phase rectifier to get dc power. Resistive power dissipation in the thin coil wire reduce efficiency; heating may even burn up the generator. Also, he cut off one of the phase wires and is only using two wires for output. That means he will only use the output of only 2 phases (depending on whether the phases were star or delta connected originally) which is a waste. He sjould have passed all three wires out, or installed 6 diodes internally on the PC board to create an internal 3 phase rectifier, and passed the dc power out using two wires.

He is also getting a really ugly wave form. The stator can be rewound for single phase, if the number of poles and magnets are the same. Next he'll make a video about how to make a 3 wheeled car!

@@Teknopottu besides, this was totally useless, he simply removed the old wires and replaced them. And because he removed 1 of the 3 he only gets a third of the power. Just make a full bridge rectifier and use the motors full potential without ever opening it.

Para empezar ese motor es trifásico y al cortale un cable de los tres que generan corriente estás perdiendo potencia. Es un motor de unos 45w que usado como aerogenerador da unos 30,36v . Nada que ver con los watios que dices,ahh y un consejo la rueda sale hacia arriba y no es necesario cortarla luego solo los de Lepe somos los brutos.saludos

Absolutely no need to open the motor, he could have done the exact thing by cutting the wires from the outside. And you don't, measure resistance while holding the wires with your fingers, you are just measuring the resistance of your body.

@@newsoftheworld7927 my friend, when you take a hoverboard or scooter motor without any modification i does provide 220v but it can light only a 12v bulb. You need a bridge rectifier to get 12-24-36v to charge a battery,or a wind turbine controller. The 3 large wire that work .you must cut the small wires.

@@mke4092 hi .you simly ignore the small wires .connect the thick 3 wires to a 3 phase rectifier.the rectifier has 3 AC line in and 2 DC line out .you must add a motor speed controller to the main motor to control the rpm. the output of rectifier can be between 12v and 60-70v.you can adjust with the motor controller.the output of rectifier Wil go into a solar controller to adjust the input voltage to the batteries. 12 or24v.
