I can be so kind to someone and be stabbed in the back so hard by people. I don't go out of my way to put evil eye on anyone. I had a women who was causing real trouble in my life. I couldn't take it anymore so I asked out loud with belief I was being heard!. for her to be cursed with disease. There were 4 women in 1apt and she was the only 1 who got staph in her eye! she lost her hair and had rashes all over her body! she admitted she was jelous of me. this is not the only time I have done this

Jealousy and Envy is a negative consciousness energy output by someone the same as love and fear. So this energy is placed upon the person that is being envied unless he seeks refuge in Allah and becomes a victim of this negative energy being directed towards him so it is not necessarily shaytaan who harms the person with this but the negative energy itself and Allah knows best.

many of the scholars say that "ma sha Allah" is not enough to protect from giving ayn and many of the scholars of the past and of today said that the verse in suratul kahf is not evidence of removing ayn. There is a hadith about a sahabi giving ayn to another sahabi and from this many of the scholars say the best way to protect yourself from giving ayn if you see something you like, ask for Blessings for the person. I.E. saying perhaps : Barak Allahu feeh(i) (male (him))/ feeha (her) -for female)/ feek (you- male)/ feeki (f)/ feekum/ e.t.c... or Allahumma barak laki/ lak (a) /laha/lahu/lahum/lakum e.t.c... may Allah bless it for you e.t.c. as long as there is something of baraka mentioned and this will help with not giving your br or sr evil eye. Ma sha Allah alone doesn't really help and Allah knows best.

I have this question for quite some time. Why do average people get affected by evil eye so easily, but why don't world class athletes seem to not get affected by it ? And even if they fail, we can easily trace back to their mistakes, like lack of training, lack of discipline or bad diet or stuffs like that. Why is it so ?

I have no experience in this, but I think this evil eye concept only works on someone you can relate to, or someone in your everyday life, because you could just feel hate or jealous towards the king of England or famous people but the level of jealousy doesn't come as near as (for example) an annoying little brother or in-law with a more beautiful and rich wife and already own a lot of property in his early 30s, with a boasting habit in every occasion.

I feel the same and that's why it's very important to constantly ask for protection and precations. I can't control other people's intentions and character, so I have to do my best to create a fort of protection around me. I am very easily affected by evil and jealousy :( I am very sensitive to it. Social media has made it very easy for us to be affected by these things as well as for US to feel jealous of others, too . That's another VERY important thing to remember: just as we should seek protection from other people's jealousy and the evil, we should also be careful about not feeling jealous of others. We should ask the creator to grant us goodness in our hearts so that we are not jealous of others and become the reason of THEIR suffering!

Husna S MashaAllah does not work for evil eye, you have to say Allahuma baarik lahu (O Allah bless him), Allahuma baarik lahaa (O Allah bless her), or something similar which means you’re asking Allah to bless the person you fear will be afflicted by the evil eye. Imam Ahmad, Malik, al-Nasai and Ibn Hibban narrated from Sahl ibn Haneef that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out and traveled with him towards Makkah, until they were in the mountain pass of al-Kharar in al-Jahfah. There Sahl ibn Haneef did ghusl (bathed), and he was a handsome white-skinned man with beautiful skin. ‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah, one of Banu ‘Adiyy ibn K’ab looked at him whilst he was doing ghusl and said: “I have never seen such beautiful skin as this, not even the skin of a virgin,” and Sahl fell to the ground. They went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, “O Messenger of Allah, can you do anything for Sahl, because by Allah he cannot raise his head.” He said, “Do you accuse anyone with regard to him?” They said, “‘Amir ibn Rabee’ah looked at him.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called ‘Amir and rebuked him strongly. He said, “Why would one of you kill his brother? If you see something that you like, then pray for blessing for him.” Then he said to him, “Wash yourself for him.” So he washed his face, hands, forearms, knees and the sides of his feet, and inside his izaar (lower garment) in the vessel. Then that water was poured over him, and a man poured it over his head and back from behind. He did that to him, then Sahl got up and joined the people and there was nothing wrong with him. Classed as saheeh (authentic) by al-Albani in al-Mishkat. It was reported from Abu Umaamah ibn Sahl ibn Hunayf that his father told him that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) went out and they travelled with him towards Makkah until they reached Shi’b al-Khazzaar in al-Juhfah. Sahl ibn Hunayf washed himself, and he was a white man with a handsome body and skin. ‘Aamir ibn Rabee’ah, the brother of Bani ‘Udayy ibn Ka’b, looked at him when he was washing, and said, “I have never seen anything like this, not even the skin of a virgin in seclusion!” (this was a metaphor for the intense whiteness of his skin). Then Sahl suffered a seizure (an epileptic fit, in which he fell to the ground). He was brought to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and it was said, “O Messenger of Allaah, do you know what has happened to Sahl? By Allaah, he cannot raise his head and he will not wake up.” He said, “Do you accuse anyone with regard to him?” They said, “‘Aamir ibn Rabee’ah looked at him.” So the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) called ‘Aamir and spoke angrily with him, saying, “Would any of you like to kill his brother? If you see something that you like, why do you not pray for blessing for it?” Then he said to him (‘Aamir), “Do ghusl for him.” So he washed his face, hands, elbows, the soles of his feet and inside his izaar (lower garment) from a vessel, then that water was poured over him (Sahl) - a man poured it over his head and back from behind, tilting the vessel. This was done to him, then Sahl went on with the people and there was nothing wrong with him. (Al-Musnad, 3/486. Al-Haythami said: the men of Ahmad are the men of saheeh. Al-Majma’, 5/107). Although it is correct that the evil eye comes from people who feel jealous (hasad), it may also come from a person who is not jealous but merely likes something, because of the hadeeth: “Whoever among you sees something in himself or in his possessions or in his brother that he likes, let him pray for blessing for it, because the evil eye is real.” Narrated by Ibn al-Sunni in ‘Aml al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah, p. 168; and by al-Haakim, 4/216. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Kalim al-Tayyib, 243.
