Episode 3-5 Notes: Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid RA Khadijah RA and the Prophet SAW are linked by lineage via Qusai. Khadijah RA had 4 brothers and 1 sister. Khadijah RA has two famous nephews who are Zubair Al Awwam RA and Hakim Ibn Hizam RA. Khadijah RA had two husbands prior to marrying the Prophet SAW and there is a big controversy on how many children Khadijah RA had, from her previous two husbands. It is from one of these two husbands that Khadijah RA obtained a lot of wealth. There are different accounts on how the Prophet SAW married the Khadijah RA. The more likely one is that the Prophet SAW was working as a shepard for Hala the sister of Khadijah RA and Hala praised him for his character. The Prophet SAW began working for Khadijah RA after hearing Hala’s praise of him. Khadijah RA was interested in the Prophet SAW and thus sent her friend Nafisa RA to see how he feels about her. The Prophet SAW told Nafisa RA that he doesn’t believe Khadijah RA would want to marry him but, after Nafisa’s RA reassurance he via Hamza asked for her hand. Waraqah Ibn Nawfal helped manage the marriage process. The House Khadijah consisted of many prominent members of the Ahl Al Bayt and famous Sahabah RA such as Ali RA, Zaid Al Haritha RA, Umm Ayman as well as the kids of Khadijah RA from before her marriage to the Prophet SAW and after. Khadijah RA was comforting and praised the Prophet SAW after the first revelation and then suggested visiting Waraqah Ibn Nawfal. Abu Lahab rejecting the daughters of the Prophet SAW after Islam was a humiliating matter for Khadijah RA. Khadijah RA was there with the Muslims during the boycott and she passed shortly after the boycott at the age of either 53 or 65. She was buried in Al Hujun and the Prophet SAW himself put her body into her grave. The Salatul Janazah had not been legislated yet and thus it was not performed for her. Fun Trivia fact: Abraha was eventually kicked out of Yemen by his own people a few years after the “Year of the Elephant”. Fun Trivia fact: Hakim Ibn Hizam RA is the only person in history to be born inside the Ka’ba. Fun Trivia fact: Khadijah RA is the only Ummahatul Mu'minin that the Shia respect. Fun Trivia fact: There is a controversy if Fatima RA is the youngest child or the second youngest child of the Prophet SAW. Both opinions have strong evidences. Fun Trivia fact: Ruqayyah RA is one of the children of the Prophet SAW who had done both Hijras of Medina and Abyssinia. Fun Trivia fact: After marrying the Prophet SAW, Khadijah RA stopped believing in Idolatry. This is because the Prophet SAW never did idolatry and she followed him in this decision after marriage. Fun Trivia fact: On some occasions prior to Prophethood, the Prophet SAW would take Khadijah RA to Jabal Al Nour. Fun Trivia fact: Khadijah RA was the first Muslimah to do Wudhu and pray of the Ummah of the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: Umm Kulthum RA and Ruqayyah RA were initially betrothed to Abu Lahab’s two sons but after Islam this engagement was broken off by Abu Lahab. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW stated in an authentic hadith that, the best ladies of the Heavens and Earth are Maryam Bint Imran RA and Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid RA. Fun Trivia fact: Aisha RA narrates many of the Hadith about Khadijah RA despite the jealousy she had of her. Fun Trivia fact: Allah SWT sent Salaam to Khadijah RA via Jibreel AS, who also sent Salaam to her through the Prophet SAW. Fun Trivia fact: There are 3 versions of the Tashahhud one that the Hanafi’s/Hanbalis use, one that the Maliki’s use and one that the Shafi’s use. Each of the 3 is attributed back to a prominent Sahabi RA. Fun Trivia fact: The Tashahhud was taught to the Sahabah RA after they were commanded to praise Allah SWT in Salah and did so incorrectly. Fun Trivia fact: You can never say Salaam, Jzakallah, Allhamdulilah, Mashallah to Allah SWT. All of this comes from Allah SWT. Fun Trivia fact: The Prophet SAW would give food to the friends of Khadijah RA after her demise and maintained contact with them. I made these notes primarily for myself but, decided my fellow brothers and sisters may benefit from them too. I no doubt will have made mistakes in my notes. All the good in these notes is from Allah SWT and all the mistakes are from myself. But, I was very meticulous and tried my best to make sure everything is accurate as the Sheikh mentions it. @el habahi 80 Yeah sorry, I didn't meant to generalize. My intention was to say that some of our brothers need to learn this and also be reminded of it before getting married. Especially now since my generation are beginning to dominate, of course that means I myself need to learn more about this too. I'm all for rights of women per what Islam prescribes but I'm not too fond of the feminist movement either simply because of the narratives that had spawned from it. THanks for the reminder not to generalize and thank you, May Allah have mercy and kindness on you as well.

Nothing sunnah about marrying older or younger. That matter is completely preferential. You can do something that the Prophet PBUH did out of love for him but that's the only reward you'd get. Even the Prophet questioned why Jabir ibn AbdillAh didn't marry a virgin - even though Jabir's response satisfied the Prophet. The point being not every single thing the Prophet did is a Sunnah. Just check out YQ's FAQ playlist. And Allah SWT knows best.

A S A I read that after the Phophet pbuh had been told to read and he told his wife she told her relative and then he said of phopercy mention of a Phophet and he would be abused and he died shortly after any truth and read a ibn a bass was 10 and related to a wife. Was he a companion? Some things read wasn't sure his role times it said somebody after asking told him this or that when we read someone heard or the Phophet said what is Sunna?the prayer fold arms I read once that some had idols folded any Hadiya on that?

If you look at 43:00, he said two different husbands. As in our mother Khadijah calls one son Hind from one husband and the other son Hind from the other husband. Nothing to do with two mothers so you're point that you were trying to make doesn't make sense. And even if that was the case, it is very rare which adds up to the evidence. And Allah SWT knows best.

@@moneebalbanna I beg to differ ."no parent names his two sons the exact same name" is the (general) principle the shaykh lays out and i begged to differ that my (maternal) grand father did that with his two sons . My point is it's indeed strange but it's not "just impossible" ... (Allahu a'lam) does it matter in this case that our mother Khadija is female?Is there some (subtle) point i miss? jazakallahu khayran

Salam "No parent [most probably referring to the female parent], names two sons the exact same name, from two separate husbands as well [which confirms it is the female parent]." I clearly understand and appreciate that your grandfather (Masha'Allah) named two of his sons the same name however this is from two wives as you just said. And the difference here is from the women is that the woman herself only has one son with that name, and even if your grandfather did marry again and caled that son the name, it isn't confusing because the mother herself knows her own Alhassan for example. What the shaykh is trying to say that a woman wouldn't (rarely) name her two sons the same names which is the case of Khadijah RA. I hope that makes sense Insha'Allah :)
