Haya (modesty) is one of the branches of eman. The life of the heart is its modesty and bashfulness. Haya is one of the main characteristics of Islam. Haya is a characteristic that refrains someone from doing blameworthy actions. Haya compels a person to act in a noble and dignified manner. When you have haya you will not want to commit sins. The lowest level of haya is haya in front of the people. To have haya in your own self is the next level. The highest level of haya is to have haya in front of Allah because you are manifesting ihsaan.
