giocurve The only reason I think is because she didn’t want that fame.. she enjoyed her job, but loved the freedom anonymity gave her. So she kept a low profile outside work. She certainly deserved fame though.. she is best model I have ever seen.. and most intelligent and spiritual.

It was most certainly a conscious decision so she could start her family. It speaks to her mindset, character and conviction that she could have gone on to the fame achieved by Cindy, Naomi or Tyra even outside of the fashion industry, but decided to follow her heart. She is arguably one of the greatest runway models the industry has ever seen and is one of my top 10 ever.

Crazy I didn't learn of her until recently despite knowing of the other big models of the 80s, 90s and 00s. She's without a doubt the greatest runway model there's ever been. Plus she's not White and has tanned skin, dark eyes and dark hair being the opposite of the stereotypical beautiful model in features. Just perfection.

Notice how models who respect and understand the art of something deeply and truly are the most underrated models and are usually never fully in the spotlight? Its because the industry favors and glamourizes nepotism babies have the most money, yasmeen came from a regular life and regular money. She was severely bullied when she was younger and then shined through when she got older and was HIGHLY respected by big names but the media shadowed her and glamourized other models at the times and even now shes overlooked but is quite literally one of the best models to walk the runway. Forever someone i will admire. She helped me shed my skin and find my own confidence, she radiates it. She makes you wanna be that confident, she makes you wanna wear the clothes, she makes you desire that. She has devine beauty. And she knows it.

Yasmeen was a phenom in every possible measure. She is so intoxicatingly stunning. She embodies intelligence and poise. Her walk was of the highest caliber. Superlative! She came onto the scene as several other superior models began to end their career on the catwalk. I can’t help but think she learned and developed her walk by studying and elevating the walk of a few in particular: Sonia Cole Aria AnneFiona. All of these women were exceptional in their craft. They were graceful and gazelle like. Floating. Levitating Yasmeen is definitely part of that pantheon of professionals.

y tho I personally think they mean women who are thin (or on the thinner side) but have curves, not anorexic looking. Girls with energy and personality when they walk down the runway, now they don’t. They just walk very lifeless. Plus they look way young nowadays just because they’re very unhealthy looking (too skinny and have bags under their eyes and always look too serious when posing). Way more glamorous and fun to watch back in the 80s and 90s. Gisele was the last great example of a “real woman”. She has the body, the unique and striking face, and lots of energy and personality.
