Season 3 showed pretty clearly that she cant live a normal life. The scenes with hotel and kettle - where she made a problem out of nothing. Then the scenes in last episode, where she saw a mother and children near some car. She couldnt rise children without a maid. Also with Pierpoint dying, what are the odds of her finding a job? Sweetpea was a great character that showed us how much Yasmin sucked at her job.

i honestly really liked how they didn't make it a huge thing in terms of them reuniting. they understand each other and Harper helped Yaz cover up her dad's death, which is something that will cement your connection for life. i felt it was pretty realistic for them to not acknowledge the fight and just move forward.

ome on, she’s not just marrying Harry for money. She’s doing it to: Coverup how her father truly died (spiking the pregnant server’s story of the boat trip from print). Stick it to Hanani publishing, which she would need ample resources to prevent them from scapegoating her. It’s not just money Rob doesn’t have, it’s power to stop these awful machinations against Yas.

And she knows the family's media influence will help and protect her

She's a young girl, who is alone, no family, no support from anyone or anywhere- she is doing what anyone would do in her situation, which is literally just trying to survive. People shouldn't judge.

Yup. I feel like we’ve already seen that when Yas called Harper to invite her to the wedding. Yas went as far as saying Harper wouldn’t come to her wedding unless she’d sit next to some important people. Harper confirmed. There was no bitterness really. They’ve both dropped the pretences and finally see (and accept) one another for who they really are.

This season felt to me like 45% Yasmin, 35% Harper, and 20% Rob. Curious if others who watched feel the same (I was initially going to say 40% Yasmin, 35% Harper and 25% Rob - but, that's not too different from what I said before) I still feel it was a really strong season overall though and I don't think Harper was neglected as a character. With Rob, hard to say for sure but I think for the way his character arc was shaping up, the amount of time he got seemed to make sense. Also I'm just dividing it up by those three if you consider them the main three characters. Eric got a good amount of screentime and storyline too, as did Rishi.

That’s a good point about Harper and Yas. It kinda ended up being true that they know the absolute worst about each other and can still love each other anyway. Especially funny because that’s the thing they wanted from their father figures ( Eric for Harper) but they found it in each other.

Sweetpea mentions her dad being a ww2 buff. It's a throwaway line, but very revealing. She says it like a daughter who loves her dad would say it, like she doesn't get the fascination but likes the subject because her dad does too.

Yes exactly. Back then she was a wealthy heiress and had no idea the family fortune was in jeopardy. She's been in a full on freak out since daddy told her there was no money.

My career was in the business end of entertainment and so I interfaced with different levels because of what I did - from highest level executives to lower level people striving to make it - agents, talent, above and below the line. Some were pathological - some were just basic flawed human beings and some were remarkably well balanced who achieved high levels without sacrificing their humanity.

My impression was that Yasmin thought the server knew about how he died and that was the story she was selling. But then in the finale, it seems it was actually about the underage girls.

But also She thought she had unlimited money back then and now she needs to find means for survival. I could be wrong but I feel like the writers wanted to put her in a Harper position of survival mode vs she was always secure in her life

Not commenting on how they wound up not being completely damaged emotionally but just that they were both emotional foils to Yaz as being able to be *normal* avaricious financial types without completely compromising their lives. To some extent Petra also represented this as she had boundaries as well.

Yasmin is special 😢

It’s very true to life too. There are exceptional well rounded people in finance, and there are degenerates. You can probably map all the characters in the show on that spectrum, although the degenerates would have branches of local degenerates (rishi) and global ones (oil guys and some Pierpoint bosses).

Which is why she and Harper could reconnect at the end because Yaz no longer had any illusions of what she was capable of doing for survival. Of course "survival" for both Yaz was way beyond having the kind of upper middle class lifestyle she would have had with Rob or his equivalent if she married for "love". She made the Faustian bargain to marry Muck. Harper had actually reluctantly screwed over Yaz because she would have found a way to get the information that didn't directly implicate Yaz as having stupidly given the list away but Petra went around her.

I don't think this is the end of yashmin and Robert love story something coming bigger and deeper upcoming industry season 4.

I I am little scared after season 3 ending . Why only Myhala ( Harper) only share some hint that she come back industry season 4. But why Marisa ( Yashmin), Harry(Robert) , Sagar(Rishi) dose not share any hint that they are coming back industry season 4. Is that means they are not coming back industry season 4 😢.but it's not possible because season 3 ending there story is not ending lots of questions are arising they are must be shortout season 4 i guess

Yes could’ve been that, could’ve been how she walked in on them in her room, and or could’ve been the boat jump. Or, Charles depravities in general. No matter the report or the story, despite it all being Charles’s fault, the press still would have skewered Yasmin. you do know what happens to young women who are destroyed by the press, don’t you? Yasmin has been a privileged victim her whole life, but she has managed to carry herself out of it.

If you enjoyed S1&2 I don't know why you wouldn't keep going. If you're meh on the show to start with then idk, it's your life/ your time. & If you have an issue with examining privilege/ class systems then I don't think this is the show for you tbh.
