I sold my 4 speed 265 VK Charger years ago. What a great car it was. The missus couldn't cope with wrestling the baby capsule in and out and the mortgage couldn't wait. I wish I still had it every day. Col's car is a beautiful example of the marque.

@@ShannonsInsurance Thanks so much for your reply Andres. Unfortunately my circumstances haven't allowed me to regain the pinnacle of car ownership I once enjoyed. For me, it wasn't about muscle cars per se though. My parents started my Mopar dreaming while I was in high school when they bought a VF sedan. In my surfing days, I had an AP6 wagon and later a VG Regal wagon. The AP6 was a very close second to the Charger as being my best car ever, so strong and durable with a beautifully sculptured front end. The VG was the height of luxury for me but a combination of dirt tracks to surf spots and the infamous poorly designed power steering system caused chassis problems I couldn't contend with at the time. Having worked at a customs clearance house which dealt with importing cars in the last decade, I still dream of shipping a 1979 Chrysler 300 Hurst Edition from the States to replace my Charger. Funny how, over time, that would work out being at least 50% the cost of buying a VK Charger today. However, it won't happen due to all the forces in my life. I'm moving to Thailand when air travel without quarantine resumes. There, I hope to restomod a Mazda Familia pickup with either a 12B or convert it to electric, as is the Thai current fad. That will be after I convert the Yamaha RX135 my brother-in-law gave me to a cafe racer. I love to dream about cars and you, Fletch and Shannons give me plenty of material here on KZbin. The charger sounds like it would've been a dream to drive, they're very strong and I personally love the front of them, even the brand new ones!. Moving to Thailand sounds great, you'll definitely enjoy the experience and if you're able to convert the Mazda into electric, then you'll have heaps of power there 😅 Please feel free to share with us when you convert the Mazda and the Yamaha, we love seeing our customers modifying their rides and driving them. Fletch. You should include Steve Brook and his great shed in one of your shows. Great shed. Great bloke. Australian Champion F Ford early 80’s. He also drove a JPS BMW 6 Series at Bathurst with World Champion Danny Hulme for Frank Gardner. His wife makes a mean fruit cake for him EVERY week that he has in his shed. My late father had a Singer the same as Kerry's long before I was born. Iremember him telling me he got his money's worth out of his NRMA membership when he owned. Apparently Diffs were an issue. A couple of times apparently one of the rear wheels along with part of the axle would suddenly come out snd try and overtake the car.

in 25 years kids of today will be buying up 90s Holdens toyotas and ford and early 2000's holdens fords and toyotas and restoring them just like adults now ar buying 50's -70s cars from their youth.

@@mvnorsel6354 thats why VY V8 and supercharged holdens will be worth something in the future. Calais and statesman's and caprices utes and one tonners. SS WAGONS SPORTSWAGONS cv and v2 monaros. VN holdens will be worth something. sportswagons are more expensive then sedans of the same model

@@mvnorsel6354 Valiant Sadly died in 1981. Chrysler Remained but the chrysler 300c now is shit its basically got fiat technology in it and fiat is terrible. Im not a valiant person per say im more into elcaminos holden utes chevy impalas chevy pickups one tonners and the valiant safari. My Dream Car in the whole world would be a Ford thunderbird Pink with white roof.

.......but could you imagine an HT Monaro (worth $90,000) being left on the street because the owner can't house it? I'd be worried about theft, the elements and other cars side swiping it. I think Shannon's logic is sound.
