There had to be more of us there because Japanese Legend says that you can't be a true samurai without a drop of black blood so they were mating with us back then

Nah, anyone can be a samurai when gekokujo was still in place, that's before the Tokugawa shogunate. Gekokujo is social mobility, e.g., you can be a farmer who joined a war and killed someone important gloriously, the reward from the lord is samurai status. Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a gekokujo. And that's just a myth. There can't be many blacks in Sengoku or else Yasuke wouldn't be special. They literally couldn't believe his black skin. If there's many around, why were they puzzled at Yasuke's characteristics?
