Northern Japan gets very heavy snowfalls in some areas. I do not know what the annual snowfall is in their snowiest areas but is has to be 200 plus inches a year, amazing.

That's a pile of snow for sure,when it starts raining folks get a little excited to get it taken care of. We use the same method out here in the central mountains of Idaho. That's also a lot of good insulation.

Where do you live that the snow gets that high. My last winter in Michigan we had a blizzard and the snow was up that high and we have to climb up to the top of the snow and wait for traffic to stop and then slide down into the street and run across the street to walk to school only to get there and it be closed.

Global warming makes weather more extreme. Droughts _and_ storms have gotten worse and more random, with the affected areas shifting as well. Here, the winters of three or more feet of snow sticking around for months are gone, but the year before last we got seven feet in one storm. Our most recent snowfall was two or three feet, and now, a week or two later, it's almost gone again. Um...would you care to explain what you mean by, "sustainable snow"? Because as far as I can tell, you just made that up.
