Ted, is still necessary reuse the old magnet case? For P4 regular, seems all parts come with the magnet case as a Plug & play, Regards

Hi, Ted. Thanks so much for all of your videos. Is the yaw motor and casing the same on all of the Phantom 4 models (std., adv., Pro, Pro V2)?
@Droneted4 ай бұрын
all Phantom 4 drones share the same yaw motor. The only difference is the early yaw motors had a round casing. this was only on the early P4S.the actual motor is the same they all use the same roll motor Te pitch is different on the P4s from the P4Pro. the p4Pro version 1 and 2 share the same pitch motor

Hello, I have a question please: Do you happen to know if it is complicated to replace the PITCH MOTOR of the camera in the Phantom 4 Pro? Thanks in advance
@DronetedАй бұрын
Pitch motor is plug and play. Not necessary to use the old casing

I am in the middle of replacing the flex cable of the camera yaw . One of the 3 small screws that connects it to the bottom of the drone got wasted. Any advice?
@Droneted4 ай бұрын
If the gimbal has never been removed from the drone, one of the screws has glue in the center of the screw and you have to pick it out with a pointed object like a needle. If it is damaged I use an ez out tool.

Have you noticed on a Phantom 4 that after installing an aftermarket yaw motor, it appears to work fine, but now there's no camera feed showing on the controller? This just happened to me, and I have not had time to investigate it yet, but thought I'd reach out for an idea of where I need to start looking for the problem.
@Droneted Жыл бұрын
Probably not the yaw motor. It is probably the ribbon cable. Do you have a camera sensor error?
@jaymay306 Жыл бұрын
@@Droneted the yaw motor was physically damaged after a hard landing / rollover, as it was explained to me, and hanging loosely. While the drone had a working camera feed, the gimbal didn't work correctly due to the damage. Now the motor is fixed, but the feed is gone. I'll check for error messages when I get home from work and turn it on.

Have you ever replaced the pitch motor, mine when it is perfectly level it will flip part way down and then back level again about every 5-10 seconds , but if you lower camera about 10 degrees it works perfect
@Droneted4 жыл бұрын
Yes. That motor is a direct replacement. Very easy. Direct swap

Hello, Is is very nice what you do. I've learned a lot from watching your clips. Something I'd like to share with you. I had the pointing to the left problem with the camera. Replaced the Yaw motor as you did in this clip. All worked out with the switching the Yaw motor to the original magnetic case. To my disappointment. Still have the same problem. Any suggestions?
@Droneted2 жыл бұрын
I want to be sure I understand the issue. The gimbal pointed to the left. It did not swing back and forth. You changed the yaw motor and used the original case. It still points left as before. Is it steady and the only issue is that it points left? Did it start doing this all of a sudden or was there a crash or hard landing involved?
@corbettsantanavideographer3642 жыл бұрын
Hey @@Droneted - First thanks for getting back to me on this. Started with a crash. After that Started pointing left. Original case used. After repair, camera is steady as before but still points still to the left. 🔧

@@corbettsantanavideographer364 You certainly can do that. The last time I shipped to Europe it cost about $50. If you wanted to ship it to me I can either repair it or swap for a refurbished unit. I suggest you email me at droneted@gmail.com to discuss the cost

Can I send a video? It is hard to explain. When I first turn my p4p on it seems to start caging then the roll gimbal vibrates then roll travels from limit to limit and yaw travels back and fourth. I replaced the roll motor and ribbon cable twice, no help.
Hey Ted, I have a P4 Pro V2 that has a yaw motor that has a dragging or scratchy sound when moved side to side and also has a very bad vibration. The vibration creates a jello effect in video and a not so sharp photo. Would replacing the yaw motor be the appropriate fix and if so where would you suggest I purchase one from. Thanks
@Droneted3 жыл бұрын
It is possible that it is a bad yaw motor, or it could have dirt in it. try blowing it out with air first. It is also possible that the cap over the yaw motor is hitting . It is held on by just 2 Phillips screws ( PH00 screw driver) try just taking that off first. You can tell if that is an issue by moving the yaw back and forth with your hand while the unit is off. It should move very freely. Any binding at all is an issue.
@davidb76193 жыл бұрын
@@Droneted Well Ted I thank you for your reply. I took the gimbal apart and inspected everything. I didn't notice anything really wrong. I noticed after reassembly that if I grabbed the gimbal and pulled forward a bit the vibration would go away until it was moved. So I took a hard look at the vibration dampener. Seemed to look fine but for kicks I swapped the rubber dampeners front to back and flipped them upside down. Reassembled and powered on and haven't had a bit of vibration or noise what so ever. I went ahead and ordered and new dampener just in case but after a few flights now I have not had any issues again.
