Imo, the porta pros with the yaxi's have the best sound; the kph30i's with the yaxi's are the most comfortable. The bass on the kph is a bit thick and clouds the vocals up, whereas the porta pros have a nice thump with more space between instruments. They sound similar enough that I don't think you need both, unless you just want to. I keep the porta pros at my desk for music and podcasts, and the kph next to the couch for gaming, phone calls, tv, etc.

The Yaxi pads are a wonderful edition to my Koss Porta Pros.

I tried them and found they took all the character out of the sound. All the punch in the kick was gone from my PortaPro. I'd rather use Grado SR60 if I'm going for the bigger pads with wider sound.

Be interesting to see the grado 1000 modification on the kph30i as removing the foam elevates the mids and highs

I saw a guy on ebay selling a 3d print that allows the use of larger pads. 55-65mm. Could you maybe check that out? Grado pads on Koss stuff seems like they'll be good

The yaxi pads are comfy for sure but the highs are a little weak, got to adjust the eq... the default pads are more transparent...

I always find it interesting how different people hear things differently. In the end, I prefer the sound with the Yaxi pads but really appreciate your comment and feedback.

You could try adjusting the clips so the headphones are tighter and press against your ears better for that high again

Hello, Could you tell me if you know there is a different between Yaxi foam pads and Koss replacement foam pads? Are Yaxi pads really that good? Or, are Koss replacement foam pads no less than the Yaxi pads? Thank you!
