This is very similar to a turmeric face mask I make for my own use. But I use aloe vera jell so that I don't have to worry about thickening it, and I also add activated charcoal (amongst a few other things), which helps to reduce the potential staining of turmeric.😊

@donnathompson7546 I like to keep my formulation simple, so it had aloe vera, Rosehip oil, vit e, turmeric, Rosemary EO, tea tree EO and peppermint EO.

Hey Yaya ❤ I been on your channel for awhile and want to say your amazing 😍🤩🎉. I love the outcome of this formula. To the point I have a serious question ⁉️ Does it matter what type of powder you use in the formulating? What if I want to use the same formula but change the powders to make different types of masks.explain (rose clay / lavender powder ) or has to be a spice like turmeric and green tea powders? Can it be prepared without the preservative? How long would it last?

A very small batch can be prepared without a preservative for a one time use application. I don’t recommend storing it without a preservative, especially since it contains Aloe Vera juice and lots of water. However, if you decide to, I wouldn’t let it sit in the fridge no longer than a few days. I hope this helps. 💜💜

Yay! Happy to help! As for the flaxseed gel, I would have to test it out. I am not sure how the final texture would be with flaxseed gel. You mean just flaxseed gel with no other thickeners or gelling agents? If you are using flaxseed gel as a base and adding turmeric for a quick mask, it should be fine for hair. I’ve never put flaxseeds on my face though. Hmm this one got me. 😅😅😅💜

Hi! You can but you will have to reformulate to include a solubilizer or some form of emulsifier to include oils. For oil-free creations, I usually use a hydrosol or distillate to add fragrance. 💜💜

Hi! You only need water to hydrate the gums. The glycerin is only to pre-dispersed the powders to help prevent clumping once the water is added. 😊💜
